Question: Edgun Mini Chronograph
Who has an Edgun Mini Chronograph and if so how would you rate it to other chronographs? There really no talk about it…
I have a Chrony gamma master and Labradar but looking for a small field unit?

Just leave it on at all times and it becomes both a chronograph as well as a moderator. 😛 :hoot:

Will that hold while beach shooting a whole shot fill without it sagging down to get shot or blow off ?
Problem for me is I have diferant diameter ldc on many brands of guns.
On the Combro I use 2 O-rings to hold the bracket on the lcd/shroud, because it’s very light and short it holds on all day long.

Making a custom holder is really simple. I brought my Edgun chrony with me to Home Depot and found two pieces of PVC fittings that fit over the chrony and moderator. Then I wrapped masking tape (blue) around the chrony and moderator until the fit was tight. You can also substitute with printer paper if you prefer. Total cost was like $2.

Perhaps I’ve jumped the gun and pulled too quickly on the trigger. The reason I originally didn’t want to look any further into the Edgun chrony is due to having to make a custom holder to work with my Taipan with Ronin moderator but with the Combro I’m going to have to make a custom mount for it as well. Now I’m thinking the Edgun would have been a better choice. Grrrr…

Like the display that faces backwards to sight/read while shooting off a beach and no need to reset it with every shot too.
But, I wonder about the mounting options with it so I don’t need to hold it in place while shooting.
I have been using a Chrony Alpha Master and a Combro MK4.
CB-625 MK4 CHRONOSCOPE can be used up to a 25 cal but nothing larger.

I have one and it works great even in dark. The only thing is that you have to hold it in front of the barrel which I am not very comfortable with.
