question for the machinists!!!! HELP!
Okay, ive got a question: am i figuring out wall thickness correctly? take the O.D. subtract the I.D. and divide that number by two to figure out the wall thickness? if so, please help! im trying to mod a benji disco valve, and was wondering, is .057″ enough wall thickness to handle 2k psi max? the valve is aluminum, not sure what type, most likely 6061… thoughts? thanks for any help!! im trying to get the most out of a 19″ barrel!

another question, is it really worth doing an inner taper from .50″ to .350″ over the length of only .435″? or would it be okay to just drill the I.D. out to .350″ and then to .50″? i suppose the air would flow better if tapered. what do the machinists think? thanks for all the help guys!
