Question: How to have rapid target access for those annoying "too close/too far" shots???
:hoot:
Dear fellow Mutants, forum scum, passers-by, interested parties, and down-right creepy Mutant thread lurkers…
I was browsing the bottomless well of my experience, wisdom, education, and endless trough of bullshit! I came upon an inexpensive modification for rapid switching from close to far shots. Go here and look…then come back: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191823947317_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
It took two days to get here, free shipping, and I’m out less than $5.00! Note this particular mount is for 1″ scopes.
The red dot is sighted in for fast acquisition of 10 to 15 meter squirrel shots. The scope is sighted for 40 yards, which covers my back yard down to the ‘crick, for coons, snakes and such. Plus, I can quickly detach the red dot and mount my LED light for a quick look-see after dark!
The nice part is the low profile of the Sightmark mini red dot on top of the scope. The gun still fits in my case.

And now…boys and girls, a bonus “Learning Moment“!
Today’s new word is “BISHOP”!

Regards,
Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:

Dear Shelled Insect…
It matches exactly where my eyebulb sticks out when my cheek is resting on the breech. So “high” is a relative term when considering that some of the apes on this forum have no neck to speak of, others are normal humans, and some of us just high eye sockets.
Considering this…all scope mounts the same size won’t work for everyone. You need to match the mount to your personal body build, not the gun. It makes no difference to the scope…at least mine hasn’t complained.
