Quieting My SS
I have greatly reduced the noise level of my SS, but I am wondering if I can get it quieter? I have used the spring an washer technique plus venting the forward bushing, which works well. What I am wondering is how long should the first spring that creates the first chamber be? As I remember, my first spring is about one inch long creating a relatively small first chamber. What works best?

When I was using home built baffles, I started my first washer and chamber about 1/2 inch outside the end of the barrel. Solved all my problems with trying to redesign the wheel when I bought one of Tony’s 6 inch shrouds. Took all my internal baffling out and using just his shroud has made it quiet as a mouse fart now.
