"THE LIGHT" is unveiled
OK, first off a big THANKS to Lama and Air Tight Python for their suggestion of a 30mm ring to mount this light to the TSS. Had to use one thin plastic strip shim under the flashlight to hold it tight in the ring. Used a weaver ring mounted to a Kwik-Mount grooved rail adapter that attached to the rail of the TSS frame. Here it is all officially unveiled……..

I am going after opossum tonight and this was good timing for the good advice. I tried the red light filter last night and it was just bright enough to where I could see pretty good looking through my Legend scope.. I am setting out bait tonight for the critter and going to go with the 37gr Eun Jin’s. If about 65 fpe can’t bring the critter down it is only due to my shooting skills..
A lot of critters see poorly in the red spectrum. Red also makes reflective eyes pop out.
I have all the different colored filters for my light also and I have never really figured out just which color is the best to use… What is the best way to go,???
I just noticed that the red and blue’s are very fitting. 😉

Dad – the best light for night hunting is red in my opinion. the red light doesn’t play around with yours or the critter’s pupils, it leaves them nice and dilated so you still have great night vision, it’s easy to see their eyes and the red doesn’t seem to scare them off as other light spectrums do.
