Has anyone noticed the lack of any word, or news, about anything Edgun?

I tried the washer trick first but noticed I had a bit of up/down teetering movement of action in stock. Very subtle but there. The more I dis/reassembled the more the washer dug into stock and eventually negated its use.
I had that, too. I inserted a washer between the stock and the action where the bolt goes through and it eliminated the problem.
Mrnewbie. Yes stock bolt. You’ll notice the air tube floats in the support band. The air tube rests in stock and when bolt tightened down it draws down barrel. The tip of barrel gets closer to air tube about 1-1.5 mm. I thought of sanding wood down slightly for air tube for permanent fix. I tried shim like recommended(used feeler guage strip) but didn’t notice any difference in accuracy on my Edgun so for now it’s left as is.

Mine seems to be clipping endcap which is really on there like OG says.
There is a slight wobble when turning shroud.I`m not even going to try
and remove endcap and risk marks,damage.I`ll find a way to rotate to
a parallel position and if that doesn`t work drill.

I was getting one a while back on yellow but got the shaft instead.
These do well in 100m .I heard Bsa barrels no longer avail from Leupy`s

What did that JB special tuned Lonestar cost you? Would you PLEASE get another one from him and sell it to me? Tell him that I want a 25 cal Lonestar that shoots 25.4 grain JSBs, at 890 fps and gets 70 regulated shots per fill. 😆
I haven’t been able to match your 5 shot 50 meter groups; yet. My best 50 yard 5 shot group is .295”. I will be sure to let you know if things change!

If you think that you have a problem with the pellet clipping the shroud’s baffles, unscrew the front moderator tube, use a black felt tipped marker to blacken the insides of each of the baffle’s holes and then shoot the gun a few times. Caution: the gun will be almost as loud as your Lonestar while doing this!
If you are having clipping problems, the black marking will be worn off where the pellet is hitting the baffle’s bore.
If the black marker is worn off, try using a 7mm (0.276”), a 7.5mm drill bit (0.295”) a 5/16” drill bit (0.315”) or a 8mm drill bit (0.0315”) The baffle wouldn’t need to be removed to do this. The baffle nut is REALLY tight and you would need to clamp the breech blocks in a vice and then unscrew the baffle. Ed has a You Tube video of him doing this. The baffle nut on my R3 25 cal long is 20mm, the nut on my R3 22 long is 19mm. Don’t know what the difference is but, it is what it is!
If you see any evidence of clipping, I would start out with the first slightly oversized drill bit and just use finger pressure to turn the drill bit into the baffle’s holes. Stop twist turning/pushing the drill bit before it reaches the barrel. The larger that you make the holes, the louder the gun will be.
I really don’t think that Ed having the guns assembled in Estonia has anything to do with any clipping problems. The baffle’s nut tightens down on the barrel and I don’t think that it makes any difference if Ed does it, or a guy in Estonia.
You can’t remove the baffle and try shooting the gun. If you do, the barrel is only supported where it screws into the redesigned front breech. The baffle nut needs to be tightened down to support the barrel.

I don’t know what is the best solution in your case since I haven’t expired it on my r3 .22
On my prevues FX’s I simply drilled the end cap to fix the clipping.
Have you checked that the baffles are tight?
If it was my gun I would send it back to the dealer.

I can not help thinking that for such a pretty expensive airgun, the Matador often sucks “out of the box” 😥

Hmmm . . . I think mine was already bigger than that, but that sounds like the right approach.
The LCD is really tight, it requires some torque to get off the first time. I don’t have any great suggestions, other than to make sure you use the right size wrench with a handle long enough to give you enough leverage to turnit. And of coursemakesure you are supporting it properly to avoid bending anything.
I think the tolerances Ed makes these guns to require precise assembly, and unfortunately I think that when someone other than Ed puts them together that the assembly may not be as precise.
I was thinking more on the lines of 6.75mm being that they seem to be opened to 6.5mm, not exactly sure on that, I just put a 6.5mm drill bit thru it without any material removed. I already tried in removing the LCD, but that bad boy is on tight, any suggestions welcome???
What really pisses me off with this gun is having to fuck with it in order to be a shooter. This is my first high end gun and most likely the last.

Basic cure for clipping is to either make the opening more concentric to the barrel (usually pretty hard to do) or widen the opening. For a .25, try opening it up with a 5/16 drill. The nut landings on the baffle piece is 20mm IIRC.

Awful with that clipping. Might it be better after some break in?
I think 920-950 fps are normal for the R3, my gun had an increase about 25 fps after 2000 pellets through it.
Reg the flexing stock. I noticed that too if I wasn’t accurate when putting the action back in the stock. Give it some extra pressure to make sure it sits tight in the back.

My NEW R3 .22 Estonia knockoff…LOL is clipping the first and last baffle…shoots always to the right about 1″ but when she doesn’t clip its a ragged one hole at 30yrs.
One other thing I have noticed it that the action seems to float on the stock (the wood creeps when you work the gun, like going up some wooden stairs…LOL a bit to much flex for my liking)
I also had to turn her down from 940fps to only 918/920 this is because the spring tension adjuster is on its last two maybe three treads left.
Not exactly 1700euro quality that I was expecting with a six month wait on top. Other then that, she´s a keeper.

Zoco you might be right about vacation/holiday in Europe I was watching the Olympics the other day I can swear I think I seen Ed in the crowd not 100 % sure but he might be in England watching air rifle competitions I don’t know could of been. a guy that looked like him that’s it

Unfortunately the arrival of my long awaited .25 R3 Standard coincided with the tiresome process of moving our home some 500 km away. So naturally I haven’t had the time to even shit, shower or shave for the past three weeks. I only just managed to establish that out of the box my Matador was consistantly producing about an inch and a half groups at 50 m with no repeatable pattern.
Dr. Oldgoat, you can bet I’ll pester you relentlessly until we get this R3 bugger of mine to shoot properly or I’ll come over and put you to eternal shame with my JB Regulated&Blueprinted Lonestar Special, which BTW cost me a third less than your Edgun.
