R2.5 vs R3
For those that have shot both, how does the R3 stack up against R2.5?
I ask b/c I need to sell either 1) my R2.5 OR 2) my AZ HW100 FSB to fund my new R3 (Got the email yesterday). You can never have enough guns, but I got hit with a tax bill from hell so one has to go to fund the new arrival. I’m inclined to ditch the HW but not sure. Thoughts? Not sure I need two EdGuns right now (and no chance of not taking delivery of the R3) but might kick myself down the road if I sell the R2.5.
Conflicted,
Ben

Well, how does the Edgun shoot compared to the AZ tuned HW?
I have had 3 Matadors. Still have the first one, a R2.5 22 cal standard and I had a R2.5 25 cal long that I sold. I also have a R3 25 long.
I much prefer the R3 over the R2.5. The R3 has a LW barrel that is made to Ed’s specs and I really like the way that the barrel screws into the front breech block on the R3s. The R3s don’t have a breech end barrel O ring that can blow out. I think that the R3 are more accurate because of the changes.
I did a lot of tuning on my R 2.5 25 long, I even put a BSA barrel on it. My R3 25 long shot slightly better right out of the box.
