Finally got around to do some tuning on my own 22 std.
Here are the details. Looks like I’m close but still nee a little tweek.
I’m thinking about going back up with the reg a bit(maybe 630ish)

Well here is a 70 shot string at 745 with the HST turned back out 1/4 turn to match shots 41-45 from string 8.
Doesn’t make any sense to me but here it is.

Since this didn’t make sense I refilled to 200 bar, left the regulator at 745 and shot a string as followed while adjusting the HST 1/8 turns.

curious why some of those strings look like a non regged gun?

12 o’clock would be the position of the screw in its original position ( | )

Just information.
My 0.22 std seems to prefer the velocity between 876~882FPS. The possibility to see the spiral increases beyond 885FPS for some reason.
A dumb question (and i only have those) : What does 7.30,7.45 etc. mean ? I know ,of course , it´s different reg settings but what i don´t know is what do you guys exactly mean with these clock settings.. 😯
That looks about perfect…
It seems you reached the peak at 41-45 (close to perfect at 895 fps) and from there speeds start to drop again. As far as regulator setting is concerned, I think you can consider it done.
36-40 does look mighty good too @ 890… its up to you.

Very hard to tell what spring tension to shoot a full string with. Shots 30-45 are all looking good.
Probably going to have to try at least a couple.

JDR, I like your 6th string.
It looks like you are becoming anal on adjusting your Matador!
Just for shits and giggles, why not try a 7:45-8:00 setting with a little more HST?
If it was mine, I would try that 7:45 first and see what I came up with. A slightly lower reg setting and a little more HST should drop the first couple of high numbers and raise the last few low numbers.
I also don’t think that you will get more that 72-74 regulated shots with a good max deviation and SD no matter what you come up with but, I am frequently wrong! 😳

I dont know for how long you have had your rifle but I would leave it at that, shoot a few tins of pellets, forget about the chrony – let it settle a bit.
Reg setting seems to be fine so future adjustments should be limited to HST
