Q:

R3 POI shift

I bought a used R3 .22 . It was very accurate at the begining. I wanted to reduce speed from 920 to 900fps. In the process i striped couple of screws and the stock screw threads was damaged as well. All fixed, but accuracy has not been as was.
Here is a 5 shots attempt from 20 yrds of a very stable rest.

I shoot my R3M short pellet on pellet with the same setup.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Check the spring tension of the spring on the rod between the trigger and the hamer section.
This nut can turn by it selfe.
put some locktite or nail polish on it.

Will do that and come back with the result.

Thanks Veerkracht

Another issue.

The gun is shooting fine now. But suddenly ceased to cock!! I removed the stock to check the trigger assembly and found out the sear does not catch unless i pull the trigger rod back. My R3 has 2 screw trigger adjustment which i did not alter at all. I don’t want to work on the gun and mess things up before knowing where to start.
So, the trigger rod does not move back to push the sear to engage.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

I had the same thing happen to my R3M. Turned out that the new R3s don’t have a set screw on the hammer spring tensioner. My locking collar would become loose and the HST would back out ever so slightly. This cause a slight change in the pellet’s velocity and the result was a changing POI. The change was very minor each time so I didn’t notice it. I cannot read manuals. Ed sent a manual but if I were to open the manual and read it then I would no longer be a man. So I watched Ed’s video on “everything you want to know about Edguns” and the answer was there. I adjusted the HST to 880 FPS (18.1 JSB) and then cocked the gun and tightened the collar like he said in the video. That solved my problem. The gun is back to one hole performance at 50 yards and I now get a consistent FPS from the gun. Hope that helps

PS Ed can you send more mags to Tony I would like to buy some more Thanks

ED. I did clean the barrel .

OG. The post is all yours brother

Hello Ed. Do you have any current info on the high flow 30 cal R3 air valve and regulator assembly, the high flow air valve rod and the heavier hammer that you said that you would be making in one of your posts on another topic?

Adham; sorry for the hijack!

Try to clean the barell.

Ed

An update on my post inorder to exchange my exoerience with follow EDGUNNERS.

I have tried to shoot with a differnt tin of pellets, also JSP 18grn but the blue tin 5.52 . The other red tin i used before does not show the size. So here is a 10 shots group frim 20yards

And here is the tin i used last night

I am not sure if it was me, the gun or the pellets.

Thank you all
Keep well

You said that you stripped the stock screws; how is the fit of the action in the stock now? The variation could be from your action shifting in the stock.

The stock threads were fixed and the stock screw fiits fine now. I tried diferent levels of tightness, but all the same.
