Q:

R3m bolt probe Oring revisited

Alright, I have one of the r3m 25 cal from the first shipment when I got it, the brech Oring leaked and I had issue getting to stop. I ordered a few diffrent size orings based on what you guys had said. The one that finally stopped the leak was a 6.1×1.6. It survived about 1000 pellets but started leaking again yesterday. It leaked again after replacing it with another of te same size. I remember someone stating they used a 010 standard Oring. I’ve got one left over from a mrod but its too big to fit. Someone else said the had to use a 6x2mm

Just to be sure, let me ask a question. The Oring should sit inside the smaller ID right up arainst the actual barrel, right? Not the ID for the brass part, right?

Second question. Now that we’ve had these guns a while, has anyone discovered a better size for this Oring?

I use 2X6mm, fix my leak and others.

I found out on my 30 cal R3 that the harder orings (90 dura) were not appropriate for the bolt probe but the 70s of the same size worked perfectly. They have about 1200 shots on them so far and going strong. At this point I am actually expecting the valve stem to break based on others experiences. 😛

My .25 R3 never has leaked but it was a later shipment I guess. Go figure. 😕
