Q:

R3M Short?

Reading Ed’s prior post, it sounds like an R3M Short only comes in .22 and not available in .177? It also seems like an R3M Short .22 is pretty rare in the states and I’ve only seen RidetoEat post about his. It’s more rare than a Cricket Compact. Just wondering how long has the R3M been available since I’ve never seen a used on for sale on the Yellow or here or anywhere for that matter?

The ED short 22 is awesome, you can actually feel the weight difference and most of that likely comes from it being balanced on the grip area !! Love it !! I got the March 1-10x scope mounted on my Lelya last week and need an updated picture….

Couple of pic’s just to screw with Hoot !!

Now that was funny Hoot: and then I read the top youtube comment and spat my OJ

Price???

I owned one several years ago. It’s just like it’s bigger brothers, except a bit louder due to the shorter shroud. Accuracy and reliability was excellent. It is short, but it is not “petite”. It is simply a full sized Matador, with a short barrel. My opinion, in all other respects was, it’s a short Edgun…pure and simple. If length alone is your thing, it fits the bill. Don’t expect a miniature Matador!

It’s not a Leyla…which is smaller in all respects, and more of a cross-dressing pistol, disguised as a bullpup. It’s unique. It breaks my heart! Ed won’t even send me the one that
“doesn’t work”…..:butkick: (that’s Ed on the right…I’m the one getting his ass kicked!)

Fudd, Uncle Hoots quest has been a noble one. Well except for the the RED Leather shorts, not that theirs anything obtuse or perverted, just saying!!
I find it hard to believe Ed didn’t come up with the goods, but that’s life. I was looking forward to the unboxing, it would have done wonders for Edgun sales.
I really enjoy my P-rod, it’s in a Lelya stock from Rapid 70, as close as I’m likely to get to the real thing. If you find a Matador short in 22 let us know how you like it!!

I guess I need to keep my eye out for these elusive R3/R3M shorts that seldom pops up. I hope I don’t end up like Hoot in his quest for the Lelya (poor and old).

On a side note, has the Lelya ever been sold in the states? If it hits the states what’s the selling price for it as I’ve seen a single used one go for $1,800 a while back. It would be interesting to see more compact bullpups in the 22-24″ length range aside from a P-Rod conversion.

Looks like a great little AG, I have seen a couple of 22 shorts in the single shot model sold on the Yellow in the last three months. Very tempting, I would like the chance to handle one. I have a Cricket compact 22 with the Skeleton stock, lots of fun and a accurate bug.
