Q:

R9 or R1??

I was thinking about getting a R rifle, but Im unfamilar with them.

They seem to get very good reviews

AOA has a HW95 luxus which I cant find anywhere else, and PA has the R9 R1 rifle

Im not crazy about the whole gas ram thing ,

I can get a Marauder cheaper than a R9 but I want open sights and I still like a nice springer .

have any advice? or a nice springer for sale??

Thanks CP ,

yeah, I wanted a TX or a pro sport too. But I really wanted the open sights .

I only got one good scope that I can click my Leupold .

and I dont have the dough to get a really nice scope. they cost as much as an airgun . so you really got to know what ya want .

I sold my 350 mag and 34 , I like to plink with them but they just dont make em like they used to . good for hitting cans pests, I guess .

Thanks for all the help .

I will let you know how it shoots

I never even heard of a factory tuned gun!

Ive never bought off the yellow, so I guess he e mails me ??

nice grab there
i am awaiting my TX200MKIII ups shows wedsnday
i am still up in the air if i made a bad choice over the MKIII and a HW97K and an R1
i had all in mind

Those should be HW barrels…. good barrels, no worries.

Not sure what the terms you and the seller made, but normally… yes, you PP the amount and he sends the gun.

The R series do hold their value really well and if I were in the market for an R9, I would have snatched that one up quick, fast, and in a hurry. You should be well pleased with it.

Curious to see your thoughts on it, especially since it was tuned at the factory. I have shot a Beeman factory tuned gun and they do shoot well!

The nice thing, is the resale value . I should be able to get close to what I paid for it , if I ever sell it.

thanks again for the tips Rob!!! saved me some bucks!

now I took a closer look at your stock!!!! oHHH, ohh ,he said!! 😀

thanks for posting it Rob It wouldnt have lasted an hour on there .

looks pretty sweet . are those LW barrels on there???

I just signed up for paypal . never used it before

Now how do I know this guy will send the gun??

how does that work??

No ,I never have shot a Rekord trigger 😀

I see you jumped on it….. !

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. If you’ve never shot a Rekord trigger, you are in for a treat.

oooooooooooooh thats a bargain !!!

I just have to pull the trigger, 😕

I just sold my 34 and 350 mag . decent guns but not up to my expectations .

Im drooling over this R-9 are those LW barrels??

You don’t need a tune on a new HW springer unless you WANT one.
R9/HW95 is an excellent piece and will do virtually anything you want…

AH

That is Walnut… obviously not stock wood on either of them. Done a bit of work to both… but they will shoot…

You know, if you dont plan on scoping it, you may want to look at an RWS 34. Reason I say is that with no scope at ‘normal’ airgun ranges, you’d be hardpressed to find much of a difference in accuracy between the two, yet the RWS will run you around $150 used… They really are a deal.

Thanks Rob, Im leaning toward the R9 with open sights , maybe 20 cal or 177.

Thing is, they aint cheap! I could get a talon or a Mrod . and I probably still need a tune .

Thats a nice one you got . walnut stock??

I was thinking maybe the TX , but I want open sights . I cant belive all the pcp ‘s and the highend springers without open sights. nice shootin too!!

The R9 is my all around favorite rifle…. Does so many things well. Should shoot around 13-14fpe in .177 and can be deadly accurate…

The R1 is a bit more heftier gun, well suited to field use. I would suggest the R1 in .22. It should give you around 18fpe. Again… deadly accurate but can be very pellet picky as shown here…
