Q:

Ragged target Holes

I’ve been shooting my 22 cal. Talon SS in the back yard with the target set at 10 yds. The power wheel is set between 3 – 4 and I’m shooting JSB 18.1’s. The paper targets are suspended in front of a pellet trap and are made of printer paper. About every third shot I get a long ragged hole as opposed to a clean round one. It’s as though the pellet is tumbling when it hits the paper, although accuracy is very consistent. Just curious what phenomenon causes the ragged holes.

Good idea. I’ll give that a try. Thanks!

allot of times the paper tears, more so with low velocity.

try spraying some 3M glue on a piece of cardboard , them stick your target on the cardboard for clean holes
