Ran a few pellets over the crony for tank comparison (EDIT)
…and it appears both my talon tanks are in need of some serious attention.
Neither one showed any indication of a bell curve. I have work to do, and I will get two it in a couple of weeks when I have time, but here is what I found.
Both tanks were tested with 2900 psi SP (that’s all I had in my tank)
30 shots on each string with .22 14.3 gr
PW was on 4 for both tests

Since this curve was pretty much “non-existent” I decided to crank the power wheel up to 10 just to see what would happen and the fps did not change at all for the next 8 shots

Next tank was the modded tank with the same pw setting of 4 and a TH of .061 and this tank has a condor valve spring retainer installed in it.

This tank also displayed a slow but steady drop. So it appears I have much work to do when I get back in town. Thanks guys.
Just for fun, I decided to try my Condor valve with Tagdaggers “Torando” 😆 upgrade. I ran 10 shots through with the power wheel on 10 (Just to see an approximate max velocity…not for a curve)

Thats some pretty good energy out of a 12″ barrel!
DIFFERENT GUN, DIFFERENT VALVES AND TANKS
I know I could get a good curve out of this tank/valve if I try. I think I may upgrade this SS to a Tagdagger valve (or a condor valve if it proves to give a much higher shot count{which I think it might, more testing to come}. I compared the Tagdagger valve to a “massaged” Tony valve in my .25 24″ condor and it gave me a nice curve (around 15 good shots in the meat of the curve in the high 1090’s. I started with a 2800 fill pressure and ended up with a 1900 ep after around 35 shots.
Comparatively I think Tony’s massaged Condor valve will give me a better shot count and it was not much less in the power department. It averaged the high 1060’s in the meat of the curve with the JSB Kings, so I don’t think the extra 30 fps would warrant the “wasted air” in the Tagdagger valve mod (keep in mind TD’s valve is designed for the Air Archery conversion)
I am starting to get valve/ tank overload. I have too many tanks and too many valves 😆

Just keep lowering the PW until the bell curve becomes visible.
Then use the Tophat maximise air efficiency and velocity.
