Q:

rap4 /umarex RAM

got a rap4 combat pistol from the wife…ok i know it had my sons name on the box….but anyhow

i have been wondering about these guns for a while, but never really wanted to dump 200+ for one of these my self….

RealActionPainball sells these for 160 bucks…..

and its freaking awesome !!!!

on the outside its 95% the same as my glock with a few differences in grip pattern and width of trigger guard….the tactical rail is also made to some loose specs…my weaver lights and laser fits perfectly on the glock, but is loose on the rap4 and and move back and forwards a bit….

this is such a close clone of the glock that i cant easily tell the difference holding one or the other…weight matches a loaded glock 17

9 shots per clip, co2 is good for 3-4 clips

shoots 266 fps at room temperature with paintballs….it hurts ! unlike the weak ass airsoft this one actually hurts

rubber balls will go right through a cardboard box side…and they hurt even more than paintballs hehe

for fun shooting you can get velcro ammo and a target that the ammo will stick too…fun and pretty accurate

noise is not too bad…less than a crosman 357

i wouldnt waive it around in public too gun looking, no way the cops can see its a paintball gun, i wanted the blue version, but that was 100 bucks more…screw that

has blowback, enough shaking to make it kind of realistic

Happy new year !

I think live rounds refers to the chili pepper rounds… or have I misunderstood?

not what they said in the store…

Cyg,

Just buy 5000 rounds and you get the price down considerably. 😯

Cygnus, that’s pretty good for that ammo and style of gun. I’m going to dig around a bit and present it to my neighbor.

Thanks again!

your welcome !!

yes you can….

Cyg,

I hear about the pepper paint balls that the coppers use now, are they available? Would they work in that gun?

Roachcreek

paint and rubber balls does better

also the walther and x50 close has a mag capacity of 9 shots vs the glock clone 8 shots

and according to manual theres quite a bit of speed to gain from the walther model for some reason

but the other models are 240-250$ and the glock is on sale for 160…i like the glock cause i got one….and the price….but the x50 felt nice in my hand too, its a USP clone(with external hammer and all)….the walther i just didnt like but thats just me

there are other pantball pistols out there with better specs but they loose the reality aspect that thse have and turn into a paintballing marker instead

airsoft has less power way less power…those plastic BB’s loose power VERY fast, i have played airsoft sveral times…even with highend powefull stuff…and i just dont get what the pussies where whining about when they bitch about getting hit….one guy got kicked out for using a modified FX rifle…yeah the airgun ….as a sniper gun….honestly at 30 yards it stung a bit…but when wearing all the gear to mimmick counterstrike i barely realized i was hit

anyway those 6mm bbs can take out an eye so can the .43 velcro or not accuracy. the velcro balls loose power relatively fast.so you have to aim a little high

i just got done finishing your test, with some slow shooting, and breaks between clips i managed 6.5 mags (velcro)

not all balls stuck to target…some missed as they went low

2 mags

2+4.5 mags-some fired without really aiming, just quick sight picture and fire….

distance about 28 feet…indoors…bad lightning…so a bit hard to aim

I’ve read advice that says the CO2 gas will damage the seals after prolonged exposure. I bet someone here will have better information than I.

Thanks for the info… like I said, there’s a neighbor with kids that could safely use the velcro ammo without having to build a back stop. And presumably safer than airsoft or BBs since it shouldn’t ricochet as much.

read manual for the first time….and wonder if i can leave it with co2 in it…manual says not to…but that could be for safety ????

you can recycle them

accuracy….i must admit i havent tested the velcro accuracy…kid seems to sleep every time i wanna play with the freaking gun…..kid sleeping trumphs everything…for gods sake be quiet and keep the kid sleeping ….anyhow i will test later

Thanks for the quick response.

Can you recycle the velcro rounds or are they “spent” after they’ve been fired? At 10 yards are they accurate enough for pistol training against a full size body target? ~or~ accurate at 10 feet against a 1/3 body target? Your answers are really appreciated as I know two people who want pistol training without the hassle of a range weekday evenings.
