With that picture you can tell that the action and the scope have been wrapped with the plastic tape instead of dipping it in the paint like piter did…..I wouldn’t dip my action under water…that’s just me….lol

You need to camo the action and scope as well. It will look even better:

Absolutely stunning, love it.

I was actually thinking of something similar as I was visiting my bow shop to have my peep sight replaced… saw they had some camo tape/wrap and was thinking of wrapping my lelya in it.

Cant do that now… will just look cheap and fugly. you set the standard there with your super dip 🙂

Jetta,I dipped this rifle myself, came out pretty good for a first timer!

That is sharp lookin’. Me likey :smilen:

renval,

thanks for the response. Great to know that in fact the finish is durable. As for the lelya show cased above, that is a great camo choice for that particular wooded back ground.

Piter,

That does look good, I have seen some that, on large scale, seems too much but on that particular application its great! Just don’t put it down and turn your back, you may never find it. Is that an expensive process? I guess that’s a subjective question at best. How durable is that finish and if down the road one decided to remove it what would it in tell. Cheers

It all depends of the company, for the stock along I would say from $80 to $120 max
It’s very durable, feels like rubber. You can remove it but it’s gonna be a pain in ass! Two options to remove it
One is sandblast the whole thing or buy an aircraft stripper, you have to refinish the wood or metal after either process. I have done a few of my guns and im very happy with the results.

I sent the stock to professional hydrographic studio… to do it right the most important part is probably experience 😉

What’s the process on doing this….is it a adhesive paper or is that dipped?
I bought something I thought would work but turned out it was the wrong thing.
