Q:

rear cocking levers ,

Maybe I am used to it on my Crickets and my Mutants and veterans, But I like it,
I do not like the rear cocking of the ED guns and the Marauders , Its what I hated about my 25 Marauder,
Never shot a center cocking gun like the Vulcan , If I did and liked it I would have four guns, I did not like ,
So its pretty simple math for me, Do not shoot one,
Joking , but still I have learned to cock with my left hand and gotten pretty good at it,
Some day I might be pulled over to the center cocking , But I got four rear cocking guns that I shoot fly’s with at 38 yards,
Cold front came in today, temps dropped out of the 80s , Had tuna sandwich’s for lunch and I saved a little juice and spread it on my box target at 38 yards, The box was covered in fly blood , Yep we got horse fly’s here in Texas. My Mutant 22 got a work out.
Yep wasted a whole dam day, Wife was pissed, But I had a good ole time, Hell even emptied my little pony tank,

Trust me on this one , Put all the extra cash in your pocket,
Put the gun up to your eyes , adjust your scope , shoot bring your left arm around and cock the gun.
It takes a smooth move and a little practice , I got it down pat.
There was a video of someone doing this , Not sure who, But I thought , Hell I can do that,
And I am not a limber person at all.

Ya’ll are hittin’ a nerve. The only complaint I can come up with on my Taipan is no forwared-mounted cocking lever… :angrymob:

That would be like voting for the same person………………………………..YUCK!

I bet you shoot different game than I do , My doves and sparrows never 99,9% of the time do not need a back up shot .
but I have adjusted My eyes do not leave the game on a second back up shot,
I have seen the videos of the Vulcan shoot four of five times just click and click and its a lot easer with a side shot,
I have trained and can do it with my Crickets and Mutants but its usely one shot one kill so no real reason to keep shooting.
I am so glad there is so many different guns out in the PCP world, It would suck if we all had to shoot the same gun…..
Mike

ride , I can shoot both right handed or left handed . I prefer rather to shoot left handed and either way that I can shoot
I like my bolt to be forward , it allows me to be able to shoot more rapidly when needed . If the cocking bolt is in the
rear of the gun then this means that this is a single shot gun that I have to take the gun sight away from my target in
order to re-chamber a round which from my military sniper training is not practical . Mentally it messes with my ability
to make a quick back up kill shot if needed which happens from time to time . That is why I will never buy a rifle that
only has a rear bolt action .

Birdman wow.
I never shot a center cocking gun, Hell now I am scared to, I got four rear cocking guns that I can cock pretty smooth with the left hand,
I was a cunt hair away from buying a Vulcan 177 , I think that was one of the reasons I did not pull the trigger because it would be such a big change up from what I am used to, I got my guns shooting so fine and so good and smooth, I see no reason to change it up now,,,

Zonk,
Man that sounds like a blast, Now that is family fun at its best.

That reminds me several years ago we took our daughter Abbey to Mexico with us. As we were sitting out on the balcony we were shooting spit balls through a straw at lizards up on the ceiling. Damn single shots.

.

Rear cocking is okay for me now untill they come up with the side cocking one that I like.
Pulled the friends gen 1 Vulcan, but didn’t like the hammer smack noise that it had ringing in my brain …… still.
Took him sometime to get rid of most of it took many gizmo mods to do with still a harden hammer slap.

The upcoming EDgun Lelya R?M with dual side cocking has gotten my attention.
Buying it on a heartbeat if hopefully it won’t come with the square mod ?

.. only .. time will tell.

I really hate any and all Air Guns that has a rear cocking system . I do not give a shit hall well the gun is made , I well
never buy this type of gun because speaking for myself , it will not work for me . :2cents:

Zonk, that’s not what I wanted to hear,
I can hear it now, next your going to tell me my favorite barrel Linstone is really a smooth twist barrel.
I think the dark side is calling you, Your going to the FX side,
The force is strong, The bull shit is even deeper ,
fight it with every thing you got, Or you will end up like Hoot in the nut house in diapers shooting spit wads with a straw.

Mike

Don’t yank my chain.

Reach arounds and lubes? Ville are you still wasting good Air?

Are you guys saying you prefer to reach to the front to yank on something? :8:

Mike, Now that I’ve had a side cocking lever gun, my Vulcan, I find it harder to pick up my Cricket. I would always take my Cricket with me, but now with the side cocking lever it mostly sits in the breakfast room waiting for a sparrow to land. I’ve really gotten used to the side lever now my rear cocking lever gun is lonesome.
