Q:

Refinished my Edgun stock..

I was bored so I stripped the varnish off my R3M’s walnut stock. I used a chem stripper and 3M pads. It took awhile to get the old finish off, especially on the forearm. Next, I sanded the wood down to 1000 grit and filled the pores with oil while sanding. I used minwax tung oil finish. It is a common finish easily available in case I decide to give her a fresh coat in the future. The stock now feels and smell great. It has a low sheen, hand rubbed finish. It is also smooth as silk. The stock is darker in real life. Picture are a bit washed out.

BTW, I also did the same to my .25 R3 long a few year ago and it still looks great :biggrinn:

Thanks for taking a peek! I feel good how it turned out.

hey man you know the way to refinish ,that is nice work. by the way I just got my first Edgun and the build quality is first rate in my opinion.

I’ve got the 16x with the MQ reticle. SWFA offers it’s Classic scopes at a great price. Almost went for the mil-dot.

a job well done on a a sweet piece of wood. Congrats! Nice fixed-mag SWFA scope too. Which is it?

NICE. Eddy’s are beautiful guns!

Kudos on how it turned out. Made the grain of the wood stand out beautifully. Gives me an idea for my 25cal standard.
