Be interested to know whose regulators Van is using.

The company building the regs is mentioned in his post, however I also see his operating pressure is stated as 4500-5000 psi in the tank. If that shot string was from a 4500 fill it would limit effective use of that setup to those with high dollar compressors, or trips to a paintball place for filling, or would put all of our 4500psi cf tanks in the category of diminishing returns, just like using a 3000psi scuba tank to fill a gun resivoir to 3000 psi. Every fill would be less pressure than the one before.
I just put the question up on yellow as to what his actual starting/ending fill pressures were for the .25cal shot string.
Awesome shot strings esp out of that .25

The co2 adptr. is in front of the tnk.
Sorry Voltar, but in his post he never mentions CO2, so i assumed that the “high pressure regulated kit” that he mentioned is HPA.
Martin G that made that post has to get back to us on that about the CO2 or HPA and about the size of the tanks , as he left a lot of people with a lot of questions. 😀
Mario, a regulated gun won’t respond like yours does tot he increase in barrel length. The CO2 adapter has a limited volume and so the total power is reduced compared to a large reservoir on a non-regulated setup

I have two barrels for my Airforce and a standard tank.
When i have the !2” barrel i get maximum 27 fpe with 16 grain pellet. When i change barrel from 12” to 24 “ i get 48 fpe maximum with 21 grain pellet
So if Airhog say they get 28fpe from a 12”, then they are very close to my set up, which puts them just under 50fpe
To me that is some serious regulated hunting power and i am pretty impress, but i do not like that fat tank because it will give problems when aiming with scope or open sites. They said a slimmer tank is on the way, so that will solve that problem.
Mario, how does a 28fpe gun become a 50 fpe gun?

With this Airhog setup if you had a 24″ barrel you will be very close to 50 fpe with Kodiaks, which mean you will be getting 100 shots at 50fpe from one fill .
To me that is some serious regulated hunting power and i am pretty impress, but i do not like that fat tank because it will give problems when aiming with scope or open sites. They said a slimmer tank is on the way, so that will solve that problem.
That is a great power for a regulated .22 with a 12″ barrel. Longer barrel means more power and still get the same number of regulated shots.
I wonder what the price is and if they sell the kit in pieces, so you buy what you want.

The Grumpy Old Man Challenge….. That was a while back. Used a 24 inch barrel, Condor hammer weight, and PW set to 0 if I recall correctly…. of course he had tweaked the valve and had the top hat set just so.

just got a reply on Yellow. The 90+ shot string (very impressive) was from 4500psi down to 2500psi. While consistency is very good, the fill pressure will definitely be a limiting factor for a lot/most shooters.
