Q:

Regulated .25 with TT top hat

Let me preface this with this statement: I am thrilled right now. In a previous post I shared that after installing my Altaros reg my gun was maxing out at 865 fps at power setting 0 and adjusting th power wheel didn’t change anything. Of course I could have upped the pressure on the reg, but it was already at 2150ish and I wasn’t wanting to go much higher. 865 fps wasn’t bad, but I was wanting a little more. I got a TT top hat but was not very sure it would affect the fps, because I was figuring there just wasn’t enough air volume post reg to push the pellet any faster. Well I put it on today and I am happy to report that I am now shooting 905 fps.

Now for a question. I wanted the one piece top hat, but won’t ever use the restrictors, seems to me that the exposed threads on the top hat with the restrictor out could cause some restriction to free flow. Any input on this? Would drilling out the threads gain anything? Maybe it would be such a small gain it would not be worth it?

I want it all! I am hoping that still have the accuracy. From what I have read 905 is still within what most people find to be the sweet spot on this rifle.

What did you want???
Be Accurate or Get enough power to take down a WarHog??
