Q:

Regulated HPA Tanks, Deciding what output pressure??

After finding out It’s best to buy the reg set up ready for the output you want I’m looking to buy another reg and may aswell get another bottle while I’m at It.

ExpertHPA prices look very good and they offer a veriety of high output pressures and to configer your own output pressure for an extra $10 so If I was ordering off there how do I know what output to get? I’m running the stock 12″ barrel with a rewroked valve and usually shoot 16 gr pellets. I know I can always empty all the air out the reg. I’ve got a 3mm bored stem that I can use, can add packing to the spring etc but I’m stumped on the output pressures of the regs? 😆

Jeff, your shooting the 24″ barrel correct?

The OP was searching for something to use with his 12″? I don’t think we will see those numbers 😯

Hey Jeff after a change or disconnect are you throwing out the first shot?

No Sam, I usually just record everything. That way there are
no questions about how it was done….That would probably tighten
up everything though…

Thanks Jeff, Helps a lot. Wht was done to fine tune the reg as the first set don’t seem that consisnat but the second lot are pritty sweet 😉

Sorry for missing this one…..I pulled the regulator apart and sprayed
the washers with Silicon spray, emptied all of the residual liquids and
let dry….I then removed the spring retainer nut on the AF co2
adapter and wrapped the threads with about 20 wraps of Plumbers
Teflon tape and screwed the retainer nut back in until i took all of
the slack out of the top hat shaft and went 2 more rounds after that….
I also sprayed the inside of the AF adapter then put everything
back together….I started shotting with PW on 12 and lowered it until
I started to see and inconsitancy in FPS. At that point I turned the
PW up 1 number and ran the string….I have since swapped the high
flow valve on the AF adapter with a Talon air valve and I am getting a
5 SD, 850 FPS, and 150 shots per fill….It is also shooting 5 shot 1
holers at 65yds with JSB 15.9gr..This is with the reg set at
approx 2,000psi output..looks great…..

Here is an Airhog 2,200psi output regulator with high output
co2 adapter (All from Airhog) and JSB 18.1gr.

Here is the same regulator and adapter with JSB 15.8gr BEFORE it
was fine tuned….

Here is the a JDSairman 2,000psi output regulator with a stock
AF co2 adapter and JSB 15.8.

Hope this helps…
