Q:

Regulator baseline adjustment

Ok, normaly you get a regulator and its adjuste dot 130bar or whatever and you just make small adjustment some way or the other depending on what your tring to do, right? Bt what about when you pull the adjuster screw all the way out to replace the Oring in side there? Once you have pulled it out, you don’t have any reference as to the baseline anymore. Is there a standard numer of turns from bottomed out? I screwed up and counted from fully unthreaded, which is crazy inaccurate. Still have the mark scribed from the original adjustment but I could easily be off by 360degrees to far out or maybe in. Who knows at this point.

The reason I pulled it apart was because the new regulator was shooting a string +\- 50fps and it leaked completely down in 5 days. I wanted to replace all the Oring just to be sure. Like I said, next time I will count turns to bottom the adjustment, but I’m already past that point this time and would like to know if anyone knows about how any turns from bottomed it should be. Thank.

There is another Oring on the adjustment screw. How would I take that Oring off without removing it?

How would I replace this Oring while its still in the bore?

You must have taken regulator repair lessons from Donny. 🙂
No need to remove reg pressure screws to replace o-ring inside. That comes out with washer stack.
I’m sure you know that now. And a depth gauge works easiest.

No other way, without this oring reg will not work. all R3 -R3m has this oring.

Is all good. We all have to learn somehow. 🙂

Oh?? Neither of mine has that Oring on that screw much less anything past the threads. Ed has been dong lots of little tweaks.
My 25 reg is next generation (still with slotted screw on adjuster though) after my 22 reg. So the hex head is another tweak with Oring? Interesting.
Disregard prior statement except for bust on Donny :-).

Try 3,8mm.
mine is set at 125 bar.

it means 3.8mm will give you a 125 bar Regulator set pressure,,,good idea…

Luckily I never got around to shipping the old one back. For once my laziness has paid off. The o,d one was 2 full turns (720 deg) plus 190 degrees from the bottom to the oe adjustment. I was off by 360 degrees and is sounded like a red riderbb gun. Never chronyed it due to rain. Thanks for the input.

If you do not have a regulator pressure tester, You always have to make some kind of reference marking before completely strip it apart. One way is the make a depth measurement of your regulator srew once you have the lock cap removed. If you are out of option, you can sent the Regulator to me, I cant set it at what ever pressure you like and return it to you. NO charge of course.

I am stripping my Matador .25 standard tonight, If you have the same gun, I can lead you how to get(set) your regulator to the same setting. as mine, 130 BAR.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen Ernest’s video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLdNyDKkB_I at 1:41″. He may have the measurement for your R3M .25.
