Q:

regulator Distance ?

Hi guys,
I worked on the design of air regulator, and I want to know the standard distance that must be?

Thanks for attention

Assuming you haven’t blown yourself up in your attempts to make a regulator, have you succeeded?

Try this spring
12×6,2×0,6

Stacked like this;
\\\ ///\\\
///\\\///

Gap should be about .8 mm

Hello
I changed the dimensions and chosen DIN2093 15 X 8.2 X 0.9mm force of 1031N
Regards

Not the right spring for your required output pressure.
You will either need something a little stiffer or weaker to get consistant regulation for the output pressure you require. From there in it’s all about playing with stacking sequence.

That distance is a result of how you stack those springs.

The sprig you chose has a height of 1mm and a stoke of 0.3. With 0.75*max stroke it has a force of 673N (can all be found in the documentation). Force buildup within that 0.75*max stroke is pretty lineair (at least enough so to do some calculations with them)

For instance
\\//\\
//\\//
Has a height of approximately 5,1mm and a stroke of 0.675mm
Stacking differently will result in different figures.

It’s all about balancing forces in regulators. so the math isn’t difficult. You can figure the rest out yourself.

Because my buddy and I designed the HUMAREG I’m not going to tell you all the tricks of the trade as I would throw some hard learned knowledge into the open. But this should get you a long way.

spring washers DIN2093 12.5×6.2×0.7mm.

What disc springs are you using? Do you have the documentation?

Trade secret 😉

It can be calculated from your spring stack, piston diameters and required pressure.

Yes to doubt it 😀

the otherside of piston is 6mm , piston diameters 14mm and required pressure 150-160 bar

Trade secret 😉

It can be calculated from your spring stack, piston diameters and required pressure.
