Q:

REGULATOR DUMB QUESTION

I want a JDS air man reg but I don’t know which to get.

I want to shoot my condor tunned valve, hammer, spring, barrel 25 cal 28gr pellets at high 900fps for many shots.

If I use the stock condor tank 490cc which reg do I get:
the 3000in/2100-3000out or
3000in/1000-2500out it says this one fits AF tank does the other not fit?

Does the 62 CU in tank fit the condor frame with out etac and just reg?

PLEASE HELP?

quote aninias:

I have a 62ci tank w/ 3k psi regulator, I shoot Benji 27.2 gr somewhere close to 1000 fps with pretty tight groups and I get close to 50 shots before the pressure drops below 3k psi.

1000 is a little fast for consistent accuracy. Especially at anything approaching longer ranges. What is “Pretty Tight Groups”.
What you consider pretty tight, may not be what the AG community considers Tight. 😉

The 48cc and 62cc tanks by JDS looks so fat. There is a guy in the airgun fourums named randy from canada that uses a larger tanks that appears to be slender/longer like condor tank but larger. Who sells or where can you get this tank?

If you are talking about a paintball tank you will have to use an ETaC. You will want the ETaC-Reg if that is the case.

Thx everyone for advice:

Will condor valve and reg fit the 48cc and 62cc tanks?

What is thread size?

I can prove what dyotat100 sez….. It’s on my gun. 😀

Hopefully I’ll be able to do some group testing this week if the weather holds out here in NE Oklahoma. 😉

Post with pics to follow…

To shoot benji’s at 950 fps takes a 2500 psi reg and you won’t even get 20 shots on condor tank.

I just built a setup with 48 ci tank that got 50 shots in the 930-940 fps range. That reg ended up at 1980 psi in one of my larger volume etacs.

Thanks for advice r the JSB more accurate than the benjis it’s funny u knew I was shooting these.

My 2 cents worth.

High 900’s and many shots in general don’t get along.
The more power..the less shots. Its just that simple!

Your goal should be shooting JSB 25.4 Grains between 890-920. Jsb’s shoot better than the 28Gr Benji’s you are shooting now. Not by much, but I also shot 28gr benji’s for a long time.

Ok, if you have a 24″ barrel then a good guess would be a reg set around 2200-2300 for 45-50shots.

Your best bet is to ask JDS..what does he recommend, he knows best.
But do think about shooting around 900fps
