Q:

Regulator…… On the Move.

Hi Again,

I have the Vulcan, .22. shooting JSB Exact Jumbo 15.9gn. Out of the box the rifle was shooting 286 m/s….. Now after 500 (one tin) it has dropped to 276, although it pops in a 280 from time to time.

Is it normal for the reg to drop like that when settling in??

Cheers

Well I have put another tin through now and it seems to have stabilised at 276 m/s….perhaps it just all settled and bedded in.

Thanks for all your comments

Cheers

Jan I can live with 10 to 15 fps drop, but 50 to 250 fps drop. No doesn’t cut it.

…and what about due to temperature changes ?? I have noticed on my cricket if the velocity is set in 27-29°C lets say 267-268mps then the temperature drop to 20°C I got 262-263mps

My last couple of shot strings were all normal, 902 to 912 fps. Time will tell if it’ll hold.

I beginning to wonder if that’s the reason they have a low operating pressure limit on the gun.

It is not normal !!! It can not drop so much.

No it’s not normal. Several people are having trouble with their .22 Vulcans not shooting consistently. Where did you buy it?

Not sure if it’s completely settled with 500 shots.

Not sure if it’s completely settled with 500 shots.
