Regulator Recommendations
I am thinking of getting a regulator for my Condor from ALTAROS.
Has anybody tried them on a Condor?
What improvements should i be expecting compared to non-regulated stock Condor? Will accuracy and shot string increase?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes thats the one.
What do you think about it? Any ideas?

What do I think about it? I’d love to have my hands on one… I didnt realize they were being sold to be honest. I remember seeing the in tank reg early on, but never saw where I could buy one.
I have a couple Talons they’d be perfect on… for my Condor… nope. Tony tuned it and I’m not going to screw with it!
Here it shows him filling it:

I watched that vid…. one question I do have is how do you fill the tank once the gage is on???? I didn’t see a nipple for filling…..
something like that would be cool with tony’s angled art pice and doing away with the original gage with the reg

Is it the in tank regulator such as this one?

I did not realize that the Altoros reg worked with the AF guns. I know he makes them for various tube guns such as the Air Arms…
Do you have a link handy? Meanwhile, I’m going to search.
As for the Etac reg, there is data on this site that shows shot strings for various output pressures…
Thank you very much Mrnewbie, very helpful 😀
I will probably be purchasing one of these soon.
The above kinda goes along with the 80-150 bar question.
If you fill now to 1900psi and shoot at your 1000fps, then a reg set up to 1900psi is what you want.
A reg setup does improve consistency, quite a bit.
I read somewhere that with some regulators once you fill your bottle you have to take several shots before if falls to regulated value, is this true for this regulator if anybody knows?
Maybe 1 shot. Falling off the reg refers to, when you go under your regulators pressure.
So your shots become non-regulated..in short..time to fill the tanks.
With a reg you will fill the gun to 3000psi..and shoot down to the regs value. The lower the value, the more shots.
Apparently I can adjust this regulator from 80-150 bar, when it says 80-150 bar does it mean it will shoot as if i fill my tank to lets say 80bar or 100bar without the regulator?
Yea, find what psi you like, and get a reg set for that psi, then shoot from 3000 psi down to that value.
I would recommend the JDS/Etac setup. Don’t know much about the one you mentioned
For a .177 medium power gun, I would think 1900psi is to high, I would think 1500psi would be a good choice. Best to give JDS a call and ask him.
The problem is here in Cyprus we are only allowed .177 caliber.
The regulator will cost me about $105.
If I get the Talon valve i still wont get the same consistency as with a regulator though.
Having a regulator on the Condor will make it more consistent. However, it’s going to cost you…alot. There are simple modifications that you can do to the valve to tame the power of your Condor. You can screw in the tophat on the valve so that it emits less air, or you can just order a Talon valve directly from Airforce that is so much cheaper than a regulator. Just search the forum. Quite frankly, the Condor is made for .22 or bigger calibers due to the power that it can generate from its high-flow valve. Having said this, another option is to simply change the caliber of your ammo – buy a .22 caliber barrel instead. This way you can reduce velocities to attain back the accuracy, but you will gain harder-hitting power.
Well since i have the Condor in .177 I cant really have too much power otherwise i loose accuracy. So i am wondering if by putting a regulator can i achieve velocities of about 1000fps with 10.5 grain pellets and be able to fill to 2800psi, because know i can only fill to like 1900psi and get very little shots per fill. Also will the consistency of the regulator improve grouping?

If u don’t want a powered house regs work great don’t know about those ones. But if u want power then u dont want a reg . But there are regs out there that are custom that will do both but I don’t think the Guy will sell them. Maybe he will chime in. What do u wana do explain. That will help people help u

I don’t think thats how it works. The Etac acts like a little mini tank, when U shoot, the reg re-fills the mini tank. The gun shoots off the Etac/mini tank. The etac is designed like this. This is why Dayota100 makes his own etac..he make the volume of the mini tank larger.
More Power, ruf,ruf,ruf.
I dunno, if the Altos gives you a standard valve it might work with Tony’s adapted. Your right , that would be cool…
