REGULAtOR SPRINGS
does anyone know the formula?i want to build a regulator but i don’t know how much spring force(psi), just say i want to set my regulator at 1800 psi.thanks

paintball regulator has 800 psi output.
it usually has 10 shims like this. it’s about 0.032 thick shim.
you may add more shims or replace some with thicker ones to increase output. I added two shims, and it goes to about 1500 psi. also I replaced two with 0.046 shims and add one 0.032, it went to 2200 psi.
you may also try to do ))()()()()(( and replace a couple with thicker shims. I have not found setup for 1800 psi yet. I may try ))(())(())(( or others.
anyway, it’s kind of fun if you have time to try it.
