Q:

Removed safety, problems.

On receiving a poorly machined piece of overpriced aluminum from Wok, I got to replacing the standard trigger guard with it. And while at it, decided to get rid of the safety assembly on my Talon as well.

However, even after following the clear instructions, the rifle does not perform as expected. On cocking, the striker release (#5) does not catch if the springs are on their normal location. Moving the spring #6 to the recess below the striker release makes it catch. This, likely, is not the ideal situation.

Any ideas? Is it pride yet, or are we still in spring?

Well this thread didn’t turn out as expected….

How old is your gun? Older triggers didn’t have the notch cut deep enough on the sear.

You can take a dremel and cut the notch deeper.

9 out of 10 dentists agree!

Thought there was a 1000 post limit before you can go potty-mouth.

Dyotat,

the gun is just less than a year old. I’ll check out the hammer for wear.

I AM GETTING READY TO MODIFY MY RIFLE WITH A “SUPER SEAR”
AND WHILE RESEARCHING i RAN ACROSS THIS LINK THAT MAY HELP YOU:

I have never had to move the spring on the trigger. To me that is a bandaid fix to a problem. I do use the super sear on my .257 and .308 but my .25 doesn’t have one yet. I have had a 9.4 lb spring in it for a long time now with no problems at all with cocking or misfires.

Also you can check your hammer for wear on the end where the striker release catches it on the end.

He is from Finland….

Probably just baked his brain from to much time in the sauna 😛

Glad you like it, they are all hand made so you will see that in them 😀

stop apologizing. that’ll only get you ripped to shreds on this forum. the hyenas on tag take that as a sign of weakness and the feeding frenzy commences. just tell ’em to fuck off if they can’t take a joke. 😆
( by the way, i got the humor right off ).

ALL OF WOK’s ACCESSORIES I HAVE BOUGHT ARE FIRST CLASS ❗ ❗

I realise that friendly ribbing does not:

A: Transfer very well over the internet

B: Most often fails unless you’re really close friends.

My apologies once more.

Care to elaborate a bit more on WHY you are putting WOK’s work down?

Knifemaker,

a poor attempt at humour. My apologies if anyone was offended.

The wokgard 15 is a first-rate example of fine workmanship.

That is actually what is needed to make it work. This topic has been covered numerous times on the forum.
