Q:

Removing Pistol Grip on TSS

Can someone please tell me the size of the hex bolt holding the pistol grip to the frame. Big File has thread size but not head size. Lot’s of posts on removing the pistol grip, but none seem to have the hex size.
Thanks.

RiffRaff wins the lotto. Stock TSS hex screw (at least on my gun) that holds the pistol grip is 5/32. Thanks for responding.

I have a shitload of hex wrenches, probably 3 or 4 for every size there is. But, I don’t have a long one to get to the hex screw in the grip. HD is only a few miles away and they’re cheap. Just need the correct size.

Nate, sorry I got it wrong. Mine is 5/32, just checked it.

Remember though, mines a replacement and might not be the same.

nate…

by biggest bit of advice is to get even a cheap set of keys for a few bux, owning an AF rifle makes it a NECESSITY.

but, riff may be right, but i replaced all my screws with stainless, i got no idea EXACTLY what size, AF may not either… 🙄

Not looking for a hex set, just need a long one for the grip. Can anyone confirm the 7/32 for a stock TSS?

Just buy a WOK guard from WOK and when you get it, chuck up the factory grip in a vice and twist it off and throw it away.

You will never regret it.

Mines a replacement from ACE and its 7/32. Cant say for sure if the original one is the same.

just buy a set of sae keys, 1 will work.

if i had to say, id say 1/4″.
