I am a newbie so take this with a grain of salt but here are my observations / suggestions for Airforce hand pump owners.
1) you will probably need to clean the pump and replace a few o rings after about 30-40 fills.
2) the internals will be quite dirty so have plenty of paper towels, q-tips and silicone grease available.
3) most o rings do not move when pumping so there will be little need to get a rebuild kit. You will probably find all the o rings you need at your local hardware store and most likely only a couple of o rings will need to be replaced.
4) the biggest difficulty is unscrewing brass fittings from metal tubes. Take your time. Protect the tubes with a magazine or patch of leather.
5) take your time. It is not very intuitive. However after a couple of cleanings I expect I will ba able to do in in 30 min.

Yes very easy rebuild kit is free in first year call and get one ASAP
