Reworked my AA 410 stock PICS
I was bored so I decided to redo my AA stock.
It changes color is differnt light.

Sluggo that is unbelievably nice looking and I must add that using the torch is not the impressive part of the stock its the uniformaty of the stripes it looks how it would look if it was a natural ocurrance in the wood and that is not an easy thing to do when you are talking about finished wood. I hope I make sence. GOOD WORK!
Here are some details
Rifle was stipped with furinture stripper.
Used a blow torch to burn it.
Light sanding with 800gr.
Clean it and put some stain.
Then a coat of true oil.

“branding Iron”/heated rod for the nice defined stripes maybe? I’ve often used burning to accectuate the grain pattern but the lines look too defined for just a torch.

I’ve heard of folks doing that, but the results wasnt quite as pretty as that…. ..wow..that had to take some balls. I wonder if it was stripped of the finish first, then torched, then restained and finished or just sanded down lightly, torched and then refinished…..
