Q:

Roach Creek…my custom PCP repeater pistol pix

since you seemed curious regarding Jays repeater breeches here are a couple shots of one of my on going projects

the breech is one of Jays QB breeches that use the standard 10 shot Marauder rifle magazine in a special order left hand lay out fitted with a 12″ Lothar Walther barrel over a Moutain Air stainless pressure tube and a Blue Fork grip frame with Hogue grip and a custom band from Jay.

still need to have the tube shortened and threaded for the Mountain Air stainless quick fill and mod the vintage bronze Crosman valve for HPA.

Figure on having about a hundred bucks or more over the new Marauder pistol in it when complete however it should be an improvement over the Crosman product on a variety of levels
besides being the only one of its kind on the planet 😉

and this one has absolutely No Chinese bits, well other than maybe screws 😆
dont know what to call it tho as its not QB and its not Crosman either
looking for a full mags worth of shots in the 800 range but dunno if thats doable on a 3K fill with this tube length
probably going to end up installing a side folder butt on this rig

Wok, that is a barrel that has 30 moa machined into it…great for long range shooting 😆

RS, Thanks for the info. I see some QB tinkering in my future 😎

Optical illusion or is that barrel bent down?

Riverside,

Yeah that will work, it is just what I wanted.

PM me with a price.

the Dart guns were built around the 160 platform which is the same as the QB and the same tube diameter as the 22XX/Disco
There are some real neat points to the CaptChur guns in that while they used a handful of bits from Crosman much of these guns were proprietary.
For example other than the striker assembly the entire top end was different using a rifled .50 barrel/breech that you pulled the bolt on to reload. Below is a CaptChur .50 bolt, it’s a very serious piece of hardware. Thinking on building a .50 eventually, have a Stainless .50 barrel from a high end sabot gun and likely use the Maurader tube diameter.
anyways they have potential regarding at least a few of the bits that can be extracted from them in tear down.
Yes the strikers are a bit over twice the weight of a 22XX unit and the springs are considerably more powerful.

Roach
pic also shows the front end of the tube assembled with a 14″
not sure how far back your TKO goes

RS,

Yes, I saw that hammer in that post. It sure looks heavier than the crosman…although I am not familiar with the QB system…YET! 😎

RC,

If I lived that close to Darren I’d drop by there often. He is a good guy. I have been corresponding with him for almost a year now and he is always quick to answer any questions for his customers. He sells an MROD spring as well for those who might entertain the idea of a “side cocking hammer”. He is working on a .25 pistol for me. I haven’t talked much about it as it is in the developmental stages. I had it for a short while to test different ammo. It is a powerhouse! 50 fpe from a 14″ barrel! Stop by and see him and tell him I sent you 🙂

RC, I doubt you will be able to use the break with only a 14″ barrel. The air tube would have to be very short for it to clear. Mike at TKO makes brakes for the Discos that have a portion of the brake “cut out” to ride along the top of the tube. Give him a call. If you are only talking a difference of an inch or so, you could “cut it out” yourself. I did on two muzzle brakes of mine….or you could use a riser breech or a breech spacer…

(Edited) Whoops responded to the wrong thread somehow.

currently its set up for Crosman 160/QB internals
not certain it will stay that way, may end up using a side cocker striker…see the pic I posted in the Corsair thread
these are two position units designed for use in Tranquilizer dart guns that were based off the 160

Roach
will post up a pic of the front end as its currently assembled with a 14″
its a long tube designed to provide as much volume as possible with a 14″ barrel.

80 Grit,

I need to go there, Darren is only an hour away from me.

Riverside, I have a 14 inch barrel, if I use that Disco tube of yours will I have room to mount my TKO brake?

RS,

If that is running a crosman hammer you may find that even with the heavier crosman hammer springs…a 3000 psi sp will give you way too much of a curve with an extremely high ES.

With my latest pcp pistol with a 14″ barrel I settled on a start pressure of 2700 psi. This put my first shot at 845 fps (14.3 cp) for a descent shot count of 15 with the heart of the curve being around 7 shots in the 880 range.

I am going to get an even heavier spring from Darren at pacific pellet guns (he is now selling them on his sight) so I can try to fill to 3000 psi.

RC, Darren is also selling repeater breeches. He is really working hard to bring more products to the table. I am not sure if they are for sale yet, but on his sight there is a picture of a gun featuring one of the breeches. It looks based upon an MROD platform….

sent!

they are well worth the price
he will also have .25 breeches shortly

not certain on his turnaround time
mine took a bit longer due to the custom nature and being basically the 1st to ask for a lefty plus using an AirForce .22 Condor barrel as my blank

other neat point is if one was so inclined these will take a single shot tray unlike the Crosman pistol

if you were thinking on building a pistol I do have a shortened and rethreaded Disco pressure tube I may be willing to let go of
this one is 14″ barrel length

Riverside

Yes that is a bargain.

When you get a chance would you pm me or email me his contact information.

Thanks

Roachcreek

valve came out of one of the CaptChur tranquilizer dart rifles I have tore down for bits.

Breech is in production for both the QB and the Disco
cant recall the exact dollars, was a bit over a $125 including the small bump for the left side bolt special order, shorter bolt handle and having the barrel custom fitted to the breech
ask me they are pretty much a bargain for the money spent

as to the B&A breech kit its a fine product based but you will need to supply your own barrel

RS,

And the vintage bronze valve is out of what?

How much and how long for that breech, you had mentioned before he might go into production, any word on that?

Also do you know anything about the B&A 32 breech and barrels.

And yes that is a vast improvment over the Mrod pistol.
