I am Roachcreek and I have been silently reading your posts everyday for the last few months. I had trouble getting registered but kindly WOK helped out in that department. So now I can write to all of you.
I want to say thanks to all of you for the information and the groundwork that has made my transition from powder burners to HPA an easier task.
I purchased a 22 condor, a 12″ 22 barrel and a Talon tank, for a scope I ended up with a Millet TR1. So I could power it all, two scuba tanks to replace a twice broken AF pump. I have gotten to the point I can change from Condor 24″ to 12″ ss in about 10 minutes
Two days ago the rain stopped here in the Willamette valley long enough for me to bloody it on three ground squirrels in the vineyard where I live, I had it set up as a SS and the whop it made gave me a stiffy.
Thanks again until I can get proffessional help for this substance abuse problem you have all enabled me with.
I have been shooting for 50 years, and it has been maybe 48 years since I did the airgun thing. I have been thru the varmit rifle stage, elk hunting stage, cast bulllet and black powder rifle affliction and have had a great time with all of it. At one time I lived in the only house in 110 square miles in eastern Oregon just to do the SASS thing and live the life.

$300.00 on Pellets
Yeah I know! I used to spend at least 8 hours a week reloading. Mostly with a Dillon 550 and casting those big slugs for my Shiloh #1 sporting rifle and my Sharps Borshardt, both in 45 100. For a while I even indexed everything, bullet molds, dies and my precious Starline brass, and then chambering them the same way everytime.
At one time I had 33 bullet molds. I used to make solar bullets, I know WTF?? Solar bullets are bullets cast with a Lee pot and powered by 4 banks of solar panels and a 3500 Watt inverter. I had no powerlines close by and Solor was the only option.
I had a little creek nearby on the property, Roach Creek, but not enough head to run a Pelton wheel. So you know where the name came from. No Roaches there, just an early gold miner who hometeaded the place named Harry Roach.
Buying pellets is such a relief. Especially since I got arthuritis in both thumbs.
The best thing is that I don’t have to work up loads, and then pull bullets if the loads don’t shoot, remelt and recast, now I just buy a different tin of pellets or turn a dial.
You guys have already done 99% of the work for me and written about it on this forum.
You guys feeding several guns in several different calibers know how relieved I am by all of this.

Well thanks to TeflonTron also.
I have been shooting it at 100 yards, as a Condor and as a SS. I have not gotten a Chrony yet, been busy fixing the suspension on my Allroad and it is a hole in the ground to.
Right now I figure velocity by sighting in @ 50 and then shooting @100 and going to Chairgun. I leave the Condor hammer setup in when I convert, but when I get the Chrony next month it will be back to expermenting again.
I used to have an 1100 yard range with a steel buffalo at the end, I shot hundreds of lbs of 20 to 1 thru a 45-100, long range is about as much fun as you can have with cloths on.
But what I really want to try is that arrow conversion of Tagdaggers.

out and shoot some 100-150yd ranges… It will impressed the snot out of you
how precise these things are at those distances….
