RTI arms “The Priest” Day 1 serial:0033

The link above is for an album of my day 1 findings on the Priest.

I am going to do an initial impressions write up tomorrow but the album has some good stuff in it. I know, I know… NO Targets for today. Those will come this weekend when I can reach out a bit. I could only shoot at 35 yards but this thing IS ACCURATE at least for me but I have a few gripe bitches and moan I’ll share later.

I do want to mention shot count directly here on the forum. I got 60 shots from 4000 to 2000 ish PSI. No POI shift. Chrony hated me today… More to come.

I have been meaning to update this a bit more frequently but youth baseball has been taking up a lot of my time. Anyways I thought I would share some results after helping a friend of mine take care of his rabbit problem. Longest shot was 60ish yards away per my parallax turret but the other 4 were only about 35 to 45. Either way I was very happy with this. I took 5 shots and landed 5 lethal headshots. I frigging love this gun and the more I use it the better I get. It’s a fantastic hunter. All these shot were no bipod just resting the bottle on a deck rail.

thanks for you reply
now i don t know if i should go for an another pcp because it s price range is very high(you can buy fx or others greats gun..)
could you make more videos?(disassembled guid for example, or a simple review video)
you say the rail is very thin do you think it could break?

The trigger is good. I wouldn’t call it a great one but you sure can make it light. I personally have mine set at about 20oz and I feel comfortable with it there. The lighter trigger is accomplished by reducing the sear engagement and for that reason if you go too low you make the gun unsafe. If I had it as low as 200grams it would be on a bench always facing downrange and before I took it off the bench I would back out the trigger adjustment screw a bit or leave it uncocked.

does the trigger is good than an fx gun?
on their official web it claim to be 200gr..that is really light..could you confirm

Glad you’re enjoying it and I look forward to your in depth review on it!

Here in the next week or 2 I am going to do another write up, maybe a video but I don’t have all that high speed low drag shit to make a quality video, about my feelings after a month of owning it.

The sneak preview is I really like this gun. Quite a bit. It just freaking works and I have been treating it ruggedly lately and it is standing up to the task. If I actually leave the damn gun alone I don’t have shifts in POI so long as I fire a blank before I go out. Nearly all reglated guns will have an unpredictable first shot when the temperature changes as much as it does around here. I have killed several critters with it so far. As rob says it hits hard and accurate.

I really hope that if you buy one Jrayner that you fill us in on the sub 12 version. I would be very interested in that if I ever buy a .177 barrel.

thanks jman,,,,,,ceep it coming pls,,,our priests should be in the uk march ish,,,,we need as much info as possible,,,well done

Maybe their chrony was closer to the gun

quote Jman2311:

Ksfastman have your ran any strings over the crony yet. My numbers aren’t mating up to the card I got.

Yes, but unfortunately I didn’t save them. Mine was close to R&L’s numbers, but lower also…thin air I guess lol.

That sounded pretty good for something shooting 930 fps 🙂

Sounds like something about of star wars lol, I like it

It is likely that that is just the way the speaker on the phone recorded it. So the shot is louder than the reg noise but since recording technology attempts to normalize sounds the shot sounds quieter and the reg sounds louder. The ninja piston did not get rid of the squelch but I went from about 890fps to 930fps. I so need a damn reg tester for this gun. I will update more when the weather cooperates.

Quiet for sure. BY friendly. But the “squelch”, it sounded very pronounced in the first shot but not so much on the follow up shot? Do my ears deceive me?

Lots of questions about the report on this gun. This video should help.

Not much to report but I did snag my first quarry with it today. A rabbit at about 30 yards. I am liking this Priest more and more as time goes on. I have learned one thing but it isn’t necessarily about the Priest in particular. If there is anyone out there who is thinking of getting a .25 but on the fence cause they feel like their .22 is good enough. Get a .25. You’ll like it. I promise. It hits and hits hard. I am honestly shocked at its effectiveness.
