Ruger 10/22 question
I know the 10/22 is a PB, but….
I’ve always wanted a 10/22 but never bought one. Ruger’s made millions of them and they come in every shape and size. Seems like it’s become the modern day, “everyman’s rifle.” Last month my buddy gave me an older sporter model. I’ve got plans for it, but wondered if TAG members have modified theirs and would care to share some photos…..

Tof, are you using subsonic ammo in the 1-9″ barrel? That’s really nice looking. What kind of 50 yard accuracy do you get?
I’d like to do the .920″ barrel, a Hawke scope, the Hogue overmolded stock, a Harris bipod and a good sling. I took it out yesterday in stock form with a Leapers Bug Buster 3-9x on it and shot 2″ to 3″ groups at 50 yards loosely rested off the truck hood. There’s a lot of potential here.

I don’t have Photos of mine but I modified both of mine with Green Mountain Barrels, one is fluted all way down and the other is smooth. All it takes is a dremel roto tool and a lot of Patience, and just bolt the action to the stock and ream till the barrel fits smooth, and you’re done. Mine at 25 yards and me shooting on a good day with Federal highpower bulk hollow Points can hit one hole groups. But I haven’t shot mine to ammount to anything in a while so I’d have to do some practice befor I get it right. But they are Match lighters at 25 yards,. No better gun out there ,, I have the Chipmunk OA and the CZ and the old sears Bolt action single shot,, nothing will out perform the Ruger 1022 with the green Mountain barrel,, And I still have the Heavy triger on it,, Been Planning to put a new drop in match triger on it, but I been buisey buying a lot of Powder burners lately, but I’ll get around to it,, Hope this helps. 😀

I’ve got a couple of them….
Here is one in a lam stock and a .920 Bull barrel…
The other is stock save for a tac stock on it….
….and not a Ruger, but here is another .22… S&W MP 15-22 I recently got.
