RWS 48, 52, 54…
Hey guys, anyone have all 3, are you a RWS fan?
I know that 54 would be the most accurate since it’s recoilles. What about 48 and 52. Do u have some groups to post?
Thank you.

You can’t go wrong with a Diana 48/52/54. They are very accurate and well built. The 48/52 is a workhorse and very popular (54 is a bit expensive). Diana Mayer & Grammelspacher has been making airguns in Germany since 1890. RWS used to be the importer and marketer of Dianas but they were bought by Umarex USA over a year ago.
I have a 350 .22 and 36 .177 (same as 34 but with nicer wood+checkering) so you could say I ‘m a Diana fan. Thinking of getting a 34 Panther compact too because I ‘m getting to like synthetic stocks and carbines since I got the RWS 850 .22. last winter.
The 48/52/54 are capable of a few more ft-lbs of energy than OEM, if a power tune is what you want, but they benefit well from just the Maccari spring kit (with guides and top hat). They usually gain about 20fps (or 1fpe) and become smooth shooters. The adj. T05 trigger is also very good with a pull of around 3lbs, and many rate them close (but not equal) to the RECORD trigger. Some people win competition matches with 54’s, even 52’s. Bottom line is they are very accurate for a 20+fpe Magnum springer and will last many thousands of shots before they need a spring replacement and lubes. I personally like break-barrels which is why I got the 350 and never regreted it. It takes a little getting used and 500-1,000 shots to break them in before they smooth out, but once you get the hang of it, they can be very accurate especially for a 23+fpe Springer. I took 20 squirrels with my 350 .22 during the last hunting season (and 4 groundhogs last summer/Fall) plus a few crows, almost all of them on open sights between 22 and 45yds. 75% of the shots were not head shots, but it knocked down anything it hit with no need for a follow up shot. The good thing about most Diana springers is that they are not too pellet fuzzy. Mine shoots Kodiaks, Crow Mags, JSB’s, CP’s, FTS, Superdomes, CPHP’s, Meisterkugelns, all very accurately.
