Q:

RWS model 48 diana

Hey guys,

I was cleaning my closet out and found my Springer in the back it’s a RWS model 48. Is there anyone who specializes In tuning these? It was getting weak and I couldn’t get a zero with it when I stopped using it and bought a cheap Gammo. Or are there any upgrades someone could recommend? I’d like ot to be as good or better than when I bought it. I have not taken it apart, but if its simple enough to buy a part and replace it I’ll do that.

Also any good guys for Gammo work I gave it to my brother and he uses it alot ,so I was thinking a nitro piston for it? Not sure of the model synthetic break barrel 1200fps second with their crap pellets.

Any help or Suggestion as always is much appreciated

Kit from Jim Macarri is another one to look at. Reports on the Vortec kits have been positive but Macarri has been around a lot longer.

As stated, the kits are easy to put in. I’ve tore down some 48/52/54’s that had little to no preload and some that had a TON of preload so if you dont use a spring compressor, beware.

Meanwhile, here is an article you should look over….
