S.O.S. can’t seem to remove front sight blade on hatsan …
at 44. It is the fiber optic sight blade. I removed the grub screw. There appears to be machine threads where the blade rides but I can’t get them to engage. I also tried hammering it off with a dowel and hammer but it would not budge. I hammered it the other way (towards the breech end) and it still did not budge. Has anyone ever removed one before, if so, I’d appreciate some advice??? Thanks.

If its the adjustable sight, will probably be more than a single screw holding that optic down. I wonder if you have to remove the entire unit from the barrel first?
–edit– Nevermind, I think thats what your trying to do in the first place?
I originally thought you were just trying to remove the blade.
Try this exploded diagram. It appears a pin holds the blade in place, the rest might come off after?
look and see if there is some sort of lock ring
It spins freely so I don’t think that is it. I checked so many web sights and found nothing. 😡
Put a heat gun on it.
It probably is epoxied on

doesn’t appear to be a lock ring, but that would make sense seeing how it rotates around the barrel…
Thanks for the diagram RR. I am going to put this one away as my friend who originally wanted to buy it is now wanting it again so I am going to keep it in it’s original form. I was going to have 6 inches cut off of the barrel and then have a barrel band machined for a full shroud (kind of like the look of a BSA super 10 carbine). If he fails to come up with the rest of the money within two weeks, I’ll consider this transformation again. Thanks guys.
