Yeah I remember you mentioning that.

I am really waiting to see what someone gets with a long barrel and that 4500 tank and a hammer that opens the valve around 4K.

I don’t know if I will ever go down that route again, having sold everything but a Chipped Drozd and a Pygmy tank, just too much money for all the equipment.

But who knows, if I land in a place with cheap N rental and delivery, perhaps I may get a Condor SS and start adding parts to it.

And that is the thing about these air hogs that shoot slugs, you really need a endless supply of air to power them, and I suspect that the 4500 PSI tanked Condors are really going to bring that to new heights.

Right now I would rather put that money into a house

What I really wish is Chip would gear up for his SUMO action again…

From what I read on AirgunAdvice, and the Benchrest forums, that thing had the capability to flow MASSIVE AMOUNTS of air. Dual 500cc tanks on this mother, with a slug barrel, and then we’d be cookin!! The rifle below is w/a Dawson receiver, but you get the idea! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

That’s what I wanted to build before w/a .257 barrel, but Chip stopped making them. He got real busy w/his military contracts and such…

Yes it is too long and for now it is unknown if that bottle holder assembly would take 4500 PSI.

With a forearm mounted tank you could attach the regulator to the bottle and really cut down on length. you could also construct a yoke like 220 Swift did for his Rapids and have 20 200 PFE shots on tap.

If bullpups are not your thing, and I don’t know if they are mine at this time, you could just attach a point for a Magpull stock and go full length.

I can appreciate the time and effort into that…Rifle… but that thing is UGLY  Just not my bag. No offense to anyone!!

Now that would be one sweet looking rifle with a WOK guard.

Any idea if the import it?

The profile I got came from Malaysia it’s very high quality no marks where it been drawn through the die

caboose,

If you would do that it would do a great service to the TAG members, because within a year we could all buy it from AF. ๐Ÿ˜›

Very interesting Roach… will have to look into it… I’m building a .257 from one of the frames…

That frame blank and the 4500 PSI tank, is the answer for a 200 FPE cast bullet shooting bull pup with a good trigger for the following reasons:

If the 4500 psi tank is mounted under the frame and towards the muzzle, you will have room for a regulator ie 4500/3800,

You can by pass the AF junk trigger and design a linkage incorporating a timney type trigger,

Doug has always told me the strength of the AF frame and breech area makes it scary to put your face next to for a bullpup, this frame could be a two bolt system, one for the hammer, and one for a metal breech thus curing the hard coking issues with heavy springs and metal breeches and have no cut out in your face as the AF frame has.

The frame has much more rigidity without the handle cut outs.

I really think a 200 FPE cast bullet bullpup could be made doing this.

Alrighty, will do… Like I said, I’ve got two on order. Now if I could just find some good dimensions of the Talon frame, I’ll be good!! ๐Ÿ™„ It’s always something… but seriously, Thanks for finding these!! You saved me A LOT of money!

quote Caboose212:

BRAAP, have you received your body blank yet? how does it look? I have two on order, for two different projects… I’m hoping they’ll turn out nice (the blanks I mean).

No, haven’t order yet, will be ordering one, maybe two in a month or so.
Keep us posted on yours.

The frame extrusion is very VERY interesting.
New to the AF platform starting to get to know it on more intimate level, side cocker mod for sure.
Thinking out loud here, wonder if enough design changes can be implemented to add multi-shot as well? The out of the box hammer/valving/frame doesn’t seem to lend it self to such a mod, but possibly if starting from scratch with the raw extrusion, retaining the AF bottle/valve but with different hammer, bolt slide etc?

Contacted AF little over month ago regarding plans for multishot, gal that I talked with said they are working on one… ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Absolutely… I know you guys have pondered this- Hell, Syn sums it up here… “AF are YOU FUCKING LISTENING????” ๐Ÿ‘ฟ WHY THE FUCK DOESN’T AF LISTEN TO IT’S CUSTOMERS?! Or even look at the market around it? It’s making the same mistake as Theoben UK, with a lower quality product… WTF?! :butkick:

One hour of looking at this forum, DEDICATED TO THEIR RIFLES and you would be able to put out a product that would dominate. Dumbass AF just doesn’t want, is too lazy, or whatever their reason, to do anything about it. A talon, talonSS with a talonP tank?! That’s not even a good idea! I mean, I thought of it for a different reason, and even though I’m a genius ๐Ÿ™„ It still isn’t a good idea… I’m one guy who wanted to do it. But to bring something as half-assed as the Escape to market?! ๐Ÿ™„ it’s just sad.

Going back to the blank frame thing… I wish they would sell a CondorSS length one… THAT would be tits… ๐Ÿ˜€

Nothing like cloning a warped tire rim, complete with warp.

quote WalkonKing:

Could you imagine an AF gun that…

Mounts the barrel like a USFT
Built in regulator built into the frame
Side cocking
Picatinny rail and solid riser

A shroud that mounts to the frame

Timney type trigger

Damn straight WOK. Airforce is eventually going to lose more market share than it is already. Word of mouth about regulated guns is steering a lot of money to Cricket, FX, Edguns, etc. AF performance out of the box is just not there. Just the regulator would make air efficiency and accuracy skyrocket. If they could do it for under a grand, I know a lot of people who would get one. Bet you could wring 80-90 good shots out of a regulated .25 Condor w/ the original sized tank.
