The one on the right is the one that will not misfire on you.
If you decide you want to keep the safety, Then send it back to AF and they will fix it for you.
Still don’t get it. If jkam bought a new Condor, shouldn’t it have the new sear? The TAG post ink provided by Tagdagger was dated November , 2011. Is AF still selling guns with the old fucked up sear? Does the new sear shown in Tagdagger’s post solve the problem? If so, why isn’t AF putting them on new guns, and offering them to those with older guns?
Guess I got it wrong the first time. Should be: Gun goes off when disengaging safety and pellet hits attorney = lawsuit = recall??
LET ME BE CLEAR:
youre going to void warranty on the gun to become satisfied with performance if you keep it.
you WILL eventually.
I had the same problem, but after I checked out modded the trigger system and left accidentally one (wrong) spring out.
I think I have one spring left out even now, but it’s not the one which is responsible keeping the gun cocked (not misfiring it)
But your gun was like that before any mods, so I would suggest like others here that you’d contact AF customer service. Like people said, if you try to fix it yourself, you’ll probably f— up the warranty.

Or maybe more like this this:
Gun goes off when disengaging safety = Shoots a hole through something you love or through something your wife loves = Wife beats your ass and banishes all your airguns = police come to your door = some dude in a cell beats your ass (maybe more) = lawsuit = recall.
During my relatively short tenure on TAG I have seen this question come up alot. The advice is: 1) take out they safety and throw it away, shoot it, stick it up AF’s ass, etc., or 2) send it to AF and have them fix it.
Has anyone asked AF about this problem? What was their response? Does AF fix the existing safety, install a new one, or replace the gun? If they fix the existing trigger, has anyone taken the gun apart to see what they did? This is nuts. Gun goes off when disengaging safety = lawsuit = recall?? WTF?
Fortunately I’ve never had a safety related misfire in the thousands and thousands of pellets I’ve put down range, but none of my rifles have a safety.
Remove the safety.
I do like Eddie says. If you must have a pellet loaded, de-cock the bolt after loading.
It’s easier to re-cock the bolt than it is to call the pellet back after accidental discharge.
There’s only one way to find out, install one?

Will putting in a Sear available with AOA or RL help ?
IMHO believe I would return it for exchange. Taking out the safety is the option for that isssue. But if it doesn’t fix the problem or causes more or different problems, you loose warranty. Airforce rifles are quite straight forward to maintain, if do remove the safety, it would be a good time to do the trigger mod. Which will add preload and overtravel adjustment to the trigger.
You may want to call Airforce customer service and maybe they’ll resolve the problem or exchange that rifle. All my warranty issues were resolved very nicely. My hi flo valve broke in half and they replaced it, no question ask and the only cost to me was shipping to depo, they paid return and was at total of two weeks return warranty repair.
Good luck, if you call customer service be diplomatic, an attitude may effect the results negatively?……

Yeah someone sue AF already. This is getting to be a dangerous venture. And why doesn’t PA do anything? They told me I couldn’t get the Evanix Rainstorm 2 because it was miss firing. Go figure.
