Safety
I was just wondering with all the work that’s put into performance mods to these rifles has anyone come up with anything to make the safety work better or smoother/easier? it just seems like someone would have come up with a fix for it.
I only ask because we have quarter mile cars with oversized rotors and 8 piston calipers but nobody ever worries about strengthening the brakes on their drag car they only worry about going faster then can’t stop at the end of an 8 second run.
I just find the safety a bit crude for this rifle and I found the rifle to be well made it’s quite the piece of engineering.

What spring are you talking about the small one realated to the saftey bar? If those are removed you are still able to cock the rifle pull the trigger and hold on to the bolt like you said? thanks Eddie
I like this option and it’s extremely easy to cock the rifle so this will work and I read somewhere that these rifles were hard to cock I find it quite the opposite.

i dont know why but even with the std spring my rifle would occasionally shoot when i released the safety. thats why i removed it. the method i use now works well for me and there is no way of making a mistake.
Thanks guys and thanks king my safety is extremely firm is why I asked. I plan on doing a few cosmetic upgrades to the rifle and if the rifle is accurate out of the box I will probably leave it alone except for the regulated tank option which I might get for shooting when I’m alone so nobody sees it 🙂 like a moped girl I tell ya they are fun to ride until your friends see you on it.
My wokbutt and disk arrived today and what a well put together piece of engineering it is and very solid on the tank.
My scope that was supposed to be here today didn’t show up because of a mistake by the shipper it was being drop shipped from they told the vendor it was shipped wednesday and they shipped it friday so I must wait some more and the shroud shipped today they were on backorder so no sense even messing with the rifle yet.
Some of these rifles like my first one came with a safety that worked well … others come with safeties that are very hard to actuate like the second rifle I received.
I like Brutus’ method … just take the safety out of the equation plus in a hunting situation it relieves the stress on the hammer spring. Thanks Brutus !
With the trigger guard you are getting I am including a big safety knob. It makes using the safety much easier
Thanks for the tip and I always considered my weapons safety as important as having a round in it before shooting or that’s what was stressed to me by instructors.
mine works well.
1. disable the safety completley – remove a spring.
2. cock the rifle
3. load the pellet
4. hold the breach slide and pull the trigger
now your loaded with out being able to shoot the rifle.
when you are ready cock the rifle and shoot.
I dont trust safetys and found this the most assuring way of being sure i am not going to let a pellet fly off by accident.

After replying to your PM I saw the post here.
When holding the breach slide to de-cock your rifle hold it gently when pulling the triger. Very little effort is needed to hold the breach slide when it is released.
If it don’t work out let me know and I will do my best to load some pics showing what I removed so you can be sure you have removed the right spring (don’t think you will need these pics – sounds like you have the correct spring already – it is the only horizontal spring in the trigger group and its right at the end of the trigger pins – furthest from the trigger itself)
