Saw time HF Horizontal bandsaw
Here is a little clip of the Harbor Freight bandsaw I picked up. It is better quality then the last one I bought 8 years ago and is working like a champ.
My starret bimetal blade did break this weekend. Thank goodness I completed all the cutting on trigger guards and AR15 Grip adapters…Wheww..
Take a look. And yes the giant man talking is ME 😀
The film is showing it cutting through 3/4 x 1 1/2″ aluminum barstock.

Sign up for their email and they send out 20% coupons all the time. If you catch it on sale and use the coupon you can get it pretty cheap.

Sears sell a metal cutting circular saw blade for use on miter saws etc. Never tried it though.
Sears also sells a horizontal bandsaw. It is very nice about about $350.
To bad it is made in the same factory as the HF saw….LOL

There is a special chop saw designed for metal cutting.
Something like 800 rpm with a carbide blade.
This guy at work was cutting 4″ 3/16″ ss square tubing almost like butter.

I have a chop saw and an abrasive disk, but find I like to use my bandsaw more often.

For aluminum, hell I would use a chop saw and some wax.
Have a $100.00 10″ just for metal like aluminum and bronze.
They actually have a lower rpm chop saw with a carbide blade that cuts SS.
The metal guy at work was cutting 4″, 3/16″ wall sq.tubing with it, simply amazing
