Q:

SCFM calculation

Hi Guys,

Do any of you have any idea how many SFCM of air are required to move pellets through 12″, 24″ barrels?

Or maybe, how many SCFM Condor valves currently put out @ 3000 psi?

I don’t have a chrony yet, so my feeler gauges standing by.

I’m trying to figure out what kind of CFM flow these guns are used to. I am building something of a crazy valve experiment with a 12″ drop in LW barrel and a spare AF tank.

I don’t want to go through all the trouble of having all the parts I need machined, just to figure out that the valves I sourced don’t have enough juice.

removed duplicate post, sorry…

Some tune for minimum PSI used with the best groups.I believe some with much better hearing than me are able to find there pellets sweet spot by sound. I use my Chrony and measure and average PSI used. I’m not sure how you could calculate it without experimentation. I’m using 10-12 PSI per shot with a fill of 1600 PSI for .177 caliber and 12″ barrel. I’m sure that doesn’t help much.
