Scope and Accessories
1st Post.
I’ve read several posts about Scopes, just wondered if anyone knew of Links for specials for a good tactical scope.
I would also like to know why you like the scope you have, the one to stay clear of.
This will be going on an Edgun. I will need info for any other accessories that I will need. Any Help is appreciated. Thanks,

I’m really impressed with Atlas bipod as well and highly recommend.
Modifying stock grip makes for a much more comfortable carry and shooter. Don’t be afraid to personalize

Carbon fiber tanks typically have a 15 yr use (legally)and need to be hydro tested every 5 yrs. As long as its in it’s lifespan and preferably current hydro you can go right to shop to have filled. If in lifespan but not retested after the 5th or 10th yr you’ll need to do that before a shop will fill. If you want to fill at home it’s not issue but second you get on road with non tested tank its DOT issue. Lots of people use older tanks past 15 yr life at home in cascade setups and additional storage with their compressors.
Get a Din valve and micro bore hose. It wastes less air when bled off compared to my SCBA and 1/4″ hose so you’ll gain a couple more fills worth of air.
I got a slightly used 88cf 4500 tank with fill station for $300.
I get appx 20 full fills and a handful of slIghtly less than full so at 115 regulated shots per fill I easily get a good 2600 pellets before I need to spend $6 to get it refilled. Scuba shop is 10 min away and I pass it daily.
If 4500 psi refill station close by I’d recommend big tank as well or a couple medium sized ones.
Ultimate convienience is a Shoebox and a guppy tank. Small backpack able tank that can give a handful of full refill and a few partiall us easy to refill tank at home over night.
I know I should use or find a tank with stainless hoses, but how do you know what to look out for in buying a “used” tank. What makes them go bad.

Airsoft and Paintball is big around here, but don’t know if I could justify getting a compressor. I do plan to do a lot of shooting.
dont forget you fill probe to Foster adapter. This one from Pyramyd is great,seals perfect with delron seal.

I use to have a keen mind as well as a keeneye. I’m not so sure about any of them now.

I still need a pump and Tank info. pellets…I figure I have several months to find the best deals for my R3 Long 22.
I guess all the adaptors will come with it.

Plus one for the atlas bipod. I also added a monopod on the butt end of the stock. I works well when shooting off the bench or in the prone position. The bipod and monopod afford the shooter a full range of adjustments. Here’s a pic of my set up to give you an idea

I’m using a bushnell elite 4200 6-24×40 with mildots. I plan on long range shooting, hence the size and power of the scope. Maybe a bit overkill for hunting though. My vision is not the greatest and I needed the best glass I could afford. So far, so good :8:
Recommending scopes is like recommending flavors of ice cream.
I like vanilla.
Hawke 1/2 mil dot tactical on all my guns. Nothing against the other flavors, I tried several and found one that I like.
I got my Hawke Sidewinder Tac 30 6.5-20×42 from Airgundepot with a 10% off plus free ship. Very clear glass,combined with chairgun makes for excellent target braketing. I highly recommend Atlas bipod for its exceptional build and adjustability.

another ice cream flavor:
i have a hawke sidewinder 30 1/2 mildot scope on my condor and it has a beautiful reticle and good glass. but it is heavy.
i prefer a lighter scope especially on my talon and matador where i use bushnell elite 6500 mildot scopes. the bushnell is 10oz lighter than the hawke sidewinder. its reticle is not nearly as nice but its very good and the glass is just as good.
