Scope Cam mount

I purchased one of the angle sights just for the prism. The plastic housing is functional but it’s just cheap plastic molding. The prism itself is pretty clear considering it’s not a high quality laser beam splitter. It has some weight to it so I don’t know if it’s actually glass or acrylic as I haven’t disassembled it yet. Pressed against a scope and looking through the prism the image is noticeable darker but very usable. The reticle is still sharp. I’m not sure what video/pictures would look like yet but from a shooting perspective it’s a lot better on the eyes than using a grainy LCD viewfinder.
You guys planning to use cellphone setups, post up pics of the finish rig with phones attached so we can get some ideas.
Looks good. when I made a video with slow motion on iphone, it’s so much fun. when playing with iphone, it’s better to lock the screen
I’m trying to get this 3D printed for a GoPro. I’m sure it can be modified to fit an iphone somehow.

I would never buy an Eagle Eye GoPro camera mount. The design is too cumbersome plus I rather put that $1K towards a top tier scope.

A quality glass cube beamsplitter can get pretty expensive.

If someone made a threaded scope adapter like this to easily mount a GoPro it would be awesome. Even an Eagle Vision scope cam mounting system for a prism would be alright. GoPros have a pretty good slow-mo and HD recording abilities and it’s compact. Without some sort of 90 degree prism to record from it’s useless since even the LCD attachment for a GoPro is very grainy and low video quality.

You mean the Eagle eye? They are like 1000 USD man

I’m sorry I might just have to “borrow” this idea! :8:
Wow! That’s not half bad for a setup that let’s you aim normally. Told you it was genius 😉
I demand to see a video through your phone! :angrymob:
So a scope prism adapter does exist. I wish the tube thickness was less but it’s a simple design.
What’s the quality of the prism inside? It is some sort of acrylic prism right?

I’m very interested to see more pics of this mount.

Yeah, I got the “element” copy of the anglesight and the prism is indeed a lot better than I thought it would be.
Pics will come when I can
