Q:

Scope mount lights

I’m looking for a light to mount on a 50mmAO scope/1″ tube. It’s for a Benjamin marauder so I don’t have any rails like the AF rifles. I would like for it to hit out to 50 yards but most my shooting will be 25-35 yards.

I’m looking in the price range of 50-65 bucks but less is good too.

TFB28, I have this light and I don’t think that you will find a brighter, more focused light in the $50-$65 price range!

http://www.kaidomain.com/product/details.S008547

It comes with 2, 3.7 volt protected Li ON 18650 batteries and a charger for $48.37 shipped. It comes from China and mine took about 2 weeks to come in. After the local bar closes, I have a few people come to the house and we shoot 25 yard targets all night out of my kitchen window. I have the light mounted on my Edgun Matador, the Matador is very quiet and the cops haven’t been called, yet.

I have taken this light to the local range, after 2 AM and I can use it to shoot targets at 100 yards. The RQ will work at 100 yards but, it is getting pretty dim at that range. I have it mounted on a Hawke 4026, 6.5-20 X 42 Tactical and it will work at 100 yards, for white targets at least. I think that you would be very happy with it at less than 50-60 yards.

Since I got the RQ, I have bought a lot of LED lights! I had no clue how bright the newer LEDs were until I got the RQ. The RQ is only rated at 230 lumens but, it has a reflector that really focuses the Led’s output.

If you want REALLY STUPID BRIGHT, you need to buy one of these!

Go there and check out his videos! I have one of them and OMG!

I also have one of these, and it is even more REALLY STUPID BRIGHT!

https://omglumens.com/DEFT-edc_Enthusiast.php

Michael offered 50 versions that were 20% brighter that the DEFT-edc Enthusiast and I missed out on it.

I paid $299 for the DEFT edc and $399 for the DEFT Enthusiast. The uber version was $420.

I know that $300-$400 is a lot of money to pay for a flashlight, I still occasionally take them out, light up trees 3-4 blocks away and giggle stupidly at how bright they are!. Late at night, driving down a country road with the brights on my Tacoma, either one of the DEFTs will easily throw a brighter foot print than the bright lights throw. The DEFTs actually have a longer and brighter throw than the high beams do but, they are way more focused and don’t give me a view of the ditches and any deer that are thinking about crossing the road.

It is really crazy how flashlights have evolved in the last few years.

Sorry for the drunken highjack!

check Out http://www.dealextreme.com they have velcro mount for a couple of dollars that you can mount to your barrel or scope. They have some good prices on flashlights. I have a couple of Ultrafire 501B flashlights one in Red Led and one in White. great lights for the money

You can get aftermarket scope to torch mounts to mount many sorts of lighting systems. Though i cant help on cheap torches. They only few I ever used where not even close there list spec.
