Q:

Scope mounts and droop on the P12

From what i am told the P12 doesn’t account for droop with the rail…..

So I initially thought about going with a set of adjustable scope mounts for elevation… like the sports match ATP72’s…. but at 120$ I did some more brain storming

heres a pic i found from wing mans review… Looks like you may be able to just make a custom shim (with some shim stock peel-able) to get your X hairs right on the mark at optical zero with a set of normal mounts..

what does everyone think?

did you do this mod?did it work?did you use feeler guage for shims.looks like good idea. :smilen:

Thanks wingman…

Thats gonna be nice.. :8:

its not dove tailed, just square..

Oh! Well it looks like it’s dovetailed, so I don’t think you would have much room if any for shimming. I just planned on using the burris sig zees on mine.
Hmmm…looking at it again maybe it’s not dovetailed…can’t tell for sure
😐

I was talking about leaving the rail on and shimming below it.

Maybe, but it depends on the eye relief and the mounting width on your particular optic. Seems like it would also be a weaker mount since there would no longer be a bridge to tie the mounts together. Just my thoughts…
