Best damn FFP I’ve found pound for pound.. great price little compromise if any excellent glass … great reticle and turrets.
Sits on my .25 Vulcan and levels what ever I telt it to .. lol.

My Cricket 25 was recently tuned by Charlie at Georgia guns and it will out shoot me.
I have a simple UTG 3×9 bug buster mil-dot on mine and it works well for my purposes.
Plus like other guys, other shooting sports keep my monthly budget drained (Palma, smallbore prone, & benchrest).
Cricket is one of my favorites, puts a smile on my face every time I shoot it.
Lower count in my backyard squirrel population.
I have too many hobbies that are black holes for money according to my wife. I always have my eye on something new in each category. 😉 She may need a second job. 😛 Expensive scopes just don’t fit the budget unless they can do magical things. lol I am always looking at night scopes for my raccoon problem. When they get good enough and cost effective I will grab one. I was disappointed in the one I bought and returned it about two years ago. They are slowly improving and getting less costly.

Haha! If you take the best shooters out there and mount a roll of toilet paper with a crosshair on it, they will still outshoot 95% of the other shooters. Skills trumps equipment. Doesn’t hurt that they are probably sponsored to some degree.
I know but the Sidewinders win all of the extreme bench rest comps and they are all paid for. 😛 They must be pretty good if Ted still prefers them for his videos. I know of guys using them on high powered PBs for long range competition. They are tough and heavy. lol
Mine are all (4) the SR Pro 8-32×56 except one 6.5-20 1/2 MD and a 10-40x Aeon I got for free. I have good scopes (NF, Bushnell Elite, and Leupold) on my varmint rifles for PDoggin’. The difference is less than one might imagine but there are differences. I had problems with the Bushnell Elite and Bushnell customer service and don’t need another one of them. it took them three tries and six months to fix it and was a small war. Hawke customer service is 100X better than Bushnell.

MTC Viper Connect 3-12 x 42 is a great hunting scope. Compact. Very short eye relief, but with an extremely wide field of view. Looks funny mounted. Bright and clear with repeatable clicks.

I have Hawke Sidewinders or Sightrons on all my guns.
For hunting the Sightron SIII 3.5-10 x 44 SF. Things I like, made in Japan, weighs 20 oz, solid clicks, zeros down to 9 yards, side focus, lifetime warranty and for the money I have not found clearer glass. If you want to change the reticle or parallax on the SIII series Sightron just ship it to their custom shop. Things I do not like: Nothing
For target shooting I use the Hawke Sidewinder Tac series. Things I like, zeros down to 10 yds, smaller footprint, side focus, all reticle lines illuminate, lifetime warranty, the 20x half inch reticle is excellent for range finding and if you shop around they can be found for under $350. Things I do not like: Made in china, 26 – 28 oz, the 2 and 4 inch side wheel is a PITA to put on and take off.

Ed made a wise choice by going for set zoom. A variable one always lacks in comparison – even with marquee brands from ie Europe ( and as we all know the best optics are made over here ) and Japan if not made with absolute precision/quality/ tolerances and that stuff costs many money.
The reticle is well thought out for airgunning and the turrets/clicks feel semi-distinct. And by “semi” i mean better than 85% of other Chinese scopes.
Summa summarum : A good scope for airgunning.

I love the swfa, and frown upon anything made in china, such as the edgun scopes, so anybody that can support KS on saying the edgun scopes are really that good?
Myself, my r3s carry the bushnell elite 6500, mostly for the sake of good glass, and ability for large magnification and low magnification for low light shooting… wonder why these dont get much support in the airgunners world….
Anyways, just my 2 cnts ….
I am hoping in November the next shipment of scopes will be here. My next order is packaged up so I can’t add to it. I am running an EDgun on my Matador now. The glass is way better than the SWFA. I have been spinning the hell out of the turrets, and they always return to zero. The EDgun scope has a generous eye box, and the reticle is super thin which I think aids in the accurate shooting. The only complaint I have received is the parallax numbers don’t match the yards. From 50-100 yards the scope parallax doesn’t need to be adjusted. Not being able to use the yardage markings on the parallax knob would be a problem for the FT shooter but not the hunter. For me not adjusting the parallax makes for quicker target acquisition. I don’t use the parallax for yard estimating because often my shooting involves slope. An excellent rangefinder is a more accurate system

Teds been shooting the new MTC Viper Pro for the last 6 months. Just saying. But has been an avid Sidewinder fan for MANY years.
