scope question
this may be a dumb question, but what is the large dial for on some of the scopes I have seen on this site? it looks like the lower cam on my compound bow, I assume it is for making fine adjustments to elevation, but I’d like to know for sure,

I assume you are talking about the sidewheel, which is for parallax adjustment (aka focusing in the picture on your scope). IMO a sidewheel is a huge plus because of the quick and easy to turn wheel rather than the awkward adjustment around the objective lens.

Yep. I have it on my gun, and I love it. If you have a high magnification scope, you can get pretty close range estimation out to around 50 yards.
The other reason I love it, is it adds leverage to the knob. It’s much easier to turn it using the outside of the wheel than the plain knob.
