Q:

Scope that meets the below specs ——> Kindly Recommend

Budget 100$~350$

1) Clear optics on full imagination (No hazy or Milky effect)
2) To be used for varmint/target practice up to 150~200 yards.
3) Parallax adjustment from 5yards to infinity
(So that the scope can be used to target practice indoors as well)
4) Cross hair as thin as possible with Mil Dot
(Eg: MTC Viper retilcles when compared to thin reticles)
5) Illuminated reticles
(Not like the leapers, they get the job done…but I found them to be distractive compared to the MTC Viper)
6) Must have above 90% light transmission which help take great shots at
dusk/dawn

I do have a Bushnell 5×15-40 and it does cover point no 1). Have been very happy with it, but am looking for more

I know I am being greedy and have asked for lot which a squeezy budget, folks might think if there was a scope that meets all requirements then everybody might just go in for that .

But folks I want to get closest to what it can be.
Please key in your valuable inputs.

Would like to thank Pab for all the help he provided me with the MTC Viper.

Hi Zilog appreciate your response too….
IMHO..the larger the objective, farer does the parallax adjustments go. (min-AO)

In the lower objective sizes you get from 5 yards onwards..but the 44 and higher it moves on to 10yards or 15 yards…..and I get handicapped cauz I do a lot of indoor shooting between 5 yards and 10 yards. πŸ˜₯

I would not worry to much about the optical efficiency as such. A 35mm scope with 95% optics will actually draw in less light than a 40mm scope with only 75% efficient optics. Go to 50mm and even at only 50% efficiency it will still be brighter than the 35mm and 40mm scopes I listed already. The size of your light collector is the most important thing.

Hey Pab there again you’re with the magic ward…. πŸ™‚
Any specific model you would vouch for…

The Nikko Nighteaters are alot cheaper, you can get them cheap from the USA, and they are pretty good.
